Installed my JLT today. Went pretty smooth. It did take me a few minutes of massaging to get the tube to slide forward and slip over the stock intake tube. It was hanging on one lower corner, but just twisting/tweaking and adjusting the angle of the JLT piece that slips over, it finally popped...
Husker, I feel for you man, that sucks, but you gotta do what you gotta do. When I sold my S.W. H-Pipe setup on here, I got $900 and I paid the shipping just so you can have a reference.
I'm not laughing at you, but hopefully with you, but when I read your post about your wife's nasty text, I...
1 to 1 in the MT-82 6 speed is 5th gear. If he's telling you 4th, he is wrong. The previous T-56 1 to 1 is 4th gear. Look up the gear ratio specs for the MT-82, you'll see the ratios for each gear. Rear end ratio does not matter and has no effect on the ratios within the transmission.
Well, I can't comment on the Borla as I've never heard them. The S.W. had a real good sound and tone to them. I can also only comment from the sound inside the car, never heard them outside as I'm always driving it. 1 being stock and quiet and 10 being loud and obnoxious teenager loud? I'd...
I've only seen a few others on the road here in the Kansas City area. I have about 2000 miles on my Race Red GT P.P. I pay attention to drivers around me, always have. I think I've seen two vehicles even notice me. Otherwise, it seems I blend in like I'm driving a brown '78 Fairmont. I...
Maybe my phone just takes good video. Samsung Galaxy Note 4. But, in all my videos I've taken of the car (SW catback, dyno pulls, open headers) I've done all the exact same. Stand about 10-12 feet behind car, centered between the pipes, crouched down so the phone is at about bumper level. The...
I've had two different supercharged Mustangs that I feel apply directly to this conversation. First was my '89 Coupe (Saleen SSC clone) with a 351W and a ProCharger P1200b. I didn't have much extra money at the time so the car was never built the way it should've been. Ported GT-40 heads...
I bet! I think the guy's name was Dan, who was trying to get us as a group of guys to by blowers. Luckily, I found my kit, a polished P1200b, with the standard bracket (bolted together) and the very new polished one piece bracket, the automatic tensioner (also a new feature), and a slew of...
That's pretty insane. I wondered if you'd be able to get just the boost gauge and it's price. I have the P.P. dash in my GT, but of course it has a vacuum gauge, not boost. Sure would be nice if I ever decide to go blower to just be able to swap the vacuum gauge for a vacuum/boost gauge.
I think you'd have great luck with any of the kits out there. The only real advice I'd give anyone going supercharged or turbo'd is DON'T TRY TO SQUEEZE EVERY LAST DROP OF HORSEPOWER OUT OF YOUR SETUP. This is when you have trouble. Because at this point, a simple tank of bad gas could doom...
Release the lever pulling down like you would to tilt the wheel up and down. While the lever is down, just grab the steering wheel (hands in 3 and 9 o'clock positions) and pull it out or push it in. It doesn't slide easy like it's on a greased rail or anything like that. You have to give it a...
Now this goes back awhile. Had a ProCharger P1200B Race blower on my '89 LX Coupe. Serial number 009!! I remember being at World of Wheels car show with my car in Kansas City when these guys come up and talked to us. Telling us about these new superchargers they were building over in...
Sorry for the crappy pic. He wasn't able to scan it so it was uploaded off a pic sent thru text message. His car baselined 388HP/357Tq. After the catback it picked up 2HP/4 Tq. Both pulls are on the sheet, they just about are identical with a slight variation at the very top of the pull.
Tommy V. asked me to post his dyno sheets for him as he doesn't have a computer or a Photobucket account. The HP and Tq curves are darn near identical before and after except the slight jump at the very top. The air/fuel wasn't printed out, but Tommy said he seen the air fuel on the video screen...
