Wondering if anybody has any dyno proven horsepower gains from any of the cat back exhausts offered for our cars. IMO the only reason for doing it since the stock sound is amazing. There are some claims out there but seem to be only seat of the pants - other than the Borla thread - but nobody...
I had the dealer put a non R splitter on my R upon delivery since I just couldn't imagine the front winglet things clearing my driveway. Even with the non R splitter needed bridjit ramps (or stacks of wood before they arrived) A parallel and hard turn approach works the best. I've...
I have had it pop out about 10 times in 1500 miles. One time went to back it out of the garage in reverse and it wouldn't budge - acted like the parking brake was on (it wasn't) or some block was behind a tire (wasn't that either) The driveline acted like it was seized or something...
Yes front only. Most dealers clue in to take out the fronts as even the Focus RS has them - so hopefully you're good. They always seem to forget about the rears (as they did on my R)
Were you driving sound on PCH in Malibu Sunday morning the 13th? If so saw exactly this car and almost sprained my neck on the double take - don't see R's in the wild.
I run a non R splitter - I plan to put the R splitter on as soon as I figure out all my approach angles etc. (slowly destroying the non R splitter in the process!)
Just because I'm considering adding this system interested if anybody has tried using header wrap instead of trying to reuse the existing heat shields?
teamsketch - I put a non R splitter on and the car still looks great and has a better chance of handling those approach angles. BTW check the alignment - mine was off and only camber bolts would correct it. (my dealer also missed the rear spring blocks)
