  1. No prep launching!!

How much power are you running at the event? I'm only pump gas and 700whp but I'm considering throwing in E on the same pulley but don't want to make things worse with trying to control more power now...lol. I only do this one no prep event every year, the rest is on a prepped track.
  2. No prep launching!!

Looking for some experiences and advice for the best tire / suspension setting for no prep launching. Car is 4230lbs with me, Gen 5 Whipple 10R car. It's a no prep, 1/8 mile event at an airstrip. It has hosted many events in the past so there is that heavy layer of rubber but they don't prep it...
  3. GEN 5 whipple 60-130 dragy ?

I can't honestly remember if I had my drag rears on or not. Looking at the video I had to gently roll into it so I'm thinking it was 3rd with my street tires. They are Indy 500's, 325's.
  4. Exhaust Pressure Testing

My stainless bros resonator lasted one track day and 4 roll races before it blew all the packing out through the welds. It actually blew apart. V-band from headers to full 3 inch Corsa exhaust. I now run 2 bullet style resonators welded into the x pipe and it's way better.
  5. GEN 5 whipple 60-130 dragy ?

That's awesome, our 3.75 pulley runs are basically identical! lol
  6. Race weight for 2023 race season: 3450 lbs with 1/2 full tank

695whp on the dyno. Completely stock suspension and ET Street R's
  7. Race weight for 2023 race season: 3450 lbs with 1/2 full tank

These are crazy light weights here. My 21 PP Premium car with Recaro seats , Whipple Gen 5, oversized HE, me (180lbs) and full tank was 4230lbs!! :( Still went 138mph on 93 in the 1/4 though but I can't imagine if I weighed 3500ish LBS!!!
  8. Whipple Protective Seal

I find this very interesting because I noticed that the inlet of my blower had some grinding as well.
  9. GEN 5 whipple 60-130 dragy ?

That is awesome and yeah, they had me convinced...lol
  10. GEN 5 whipple 60-130 dragy ?

Well it all makes sense to me and yeah, I've been convinced that pump gas is a very delicate thing on these cars and, well, I'm no tuner so who am I to question...lol...thanks for the insight
  11. GEN 5 whipple 60-130 dragy ?

Wow.. I'm sure there has to be some very careful tuning involved...lol.. Isn't that 15-16psi?
  12. GEN 5 whipple 60-130 dragy ?

I mean turbos will always be a little faster at same boost. There is lots of factors involved there but that's just in general. Depends on your goal I guess. I have beat a big single turbo on pump vs my pump. As for heat soak? I get none. I've done 6 back to back pulls and IAT2 is always perfect.
  13. GEN 5 whipple 60-130 dragy ?

Car ran 143.8mph on the same pulley and E85
  14. GEN 5 whipple 60-130 dragy ?

Did exactly 695whp on the dyno.
  15. GEN 5 whipple 60-130 dragy ?

3.5” pulley - full drag wheel setup front and rear 3.5 pulley on 93? Isn't that risky? You are in crazy hero DA as well so you aren't losing boost that's for sure.
  16. GEN 5 whipple 60-130 dragy ?

6.1 was my fastest true pump 93 pass. 3.75 pulley, full weight at 4200lbs, 2200ft elevation and 1800DA. I didn't get a track pass in that DA but at 4000DA I was running 10.4 at 138. Bad 1.68 60ft. The goal was a 9.99 and I think I could have hit that in better DA
  17. Interesting dyno test (cats and boost)

Crazy. I have actually went to a full 3' exhaust after the write up and testing you did. V-band from the headers to complete 3''. Maybe I need that gdi pump now🤔 lol
  18. Interesting dyno test (cats and boost)

As always, great testing and writeup, but I'll be honest, I'm more shocked over the fact that you are running 3.5 pulley (13-14psi) with 17* timing and only pump 93....lol...seems extremely aggressive. Am I missing something? lol
  19. Circle D converter with whipple

10.0 at 144 with a 1.65 60ft. I did a 1.57 60ft but lost a fuel pump on that run. Should have been a 9.7 pass or so. Winter here now so need to wait
  20. Circle D converter with whipple

Well I'm 4230lbs with a full tank and me in the seat, I'm at 2200ft elevation and 4000DA and on the 3.7 pulley (10-11psi) and pump gas 93 I was also running 138mph. On the same pulley and E85 I was running 144. 138mph for 15psi is definitely low compared to what most are seeing from that psi on...
