  1. 2015 Mustang Maisto 1:18 Scale Model

    Amazoned a DIB one today.
  2. Aftermarket heat extractors, what do you think about them or idea's you may have?

Perhaps that's why the vents were moved forward, to evacuate the gap in front of the engine. There is more room for air in that area than anywhere around the engine. A ram air hood would seem to be more important in cars modded for air/fuel gulping, high RPM engines, like the BOSS or Aluminator...
  3. wheel widths

If you get Bremo brakes, the wheels will need to clear them. That's what to flush rims do. Some rims are flush in the center and recessed on the edges to create the deeper lips and still clear the brakes.
  4. Aftermarket heat extractors, what do you think about them or idea's you may have?

Personally, I have no use for nonfunctional scoops. I'm going to guess that they move the air extractors and add a single central inlet closer to the front.
  5. Quiet 5.0

    Edelbrock claims their E-Force Stage-1 SC is 50 state emissions legal. "STAGE 1 / STREET SYSTEMS / 466-559 HP & 439-503 TQ"
  6. Aftermarket heat extractors, what do you think about them or idea's you may have?

Those are going to make ram air hoods an interesting problem.
  7. Available aftermarket mods

I think a new hood will be needed for either the Boss 302 or Cobra Jet intake manifolds. Most modders are OK with a new hood, anyway.
  8. Forged Pistons?

I may be entirely wrong about this, but from what I've read, it seems that the block itself is the weakest link. It's as light as they can make it and the more horsepower you bolt on, and more importantly, how often you use it, the sooner it will fail. Ford Racing has an M6010-M50R block that...
  9. Forged Pistons?

I had an '84 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe that was quick. I had a '72 Ranchero with a 351C 4/bbl that was fast. I liked fast.
  10. Forged Pistons?

Nothing wrong with boost. I'm thinking of doing some road trips where all I want is good cooling and brakes, along with creature comforts. I'm just too old school not to think that I'd need forged internals for durability. I may be wrong, but I'm OK with that.
  11. Forged Pistons?

I'd love to drop an Aluminator Xs into a Mustang. 500+ HP without boost has got to feel good.
  12. Introduce yourself!!

I'm 62. I've been keeping my wife in Subarus, Escapes, and other smaller, economical urban cars for decades. Sadly, my wife has passed away and it's time for me to find a hobby. Perhaps realize a goal that was put on hold over 30 years ago. I've been scouring the forums for information about...
