My apologies if I interpreted your post incorrectly. This is a real hot button issue for me.
I agree. Some good time fun is okay and cops shouldn't drop the hammer on everyone. The sideshows have just gotten so outrageous here. I work sideshow suppression and sometimes I feel like Sisyphus...
This isn't out of context. It's reality in the Bay Area. Every weekend there are destructive, violent sideshows. Don't confuse this with the low-rider culture and coffee and cars. Those folks put money into their rides and are proud of them. The sideshow culture is about stealing cars and...
In the SF Bay Area the sideshows are more sinister than a bunch of teens with cars. The smallest I've seen is 50 cars and they've topped out at 500. The average sideshow is 150-200. They are usually pre -planned by promoters and the participants and spectators aren't exactly the opera/ballet...
There could be a problem with the active noise reduction system unrelated to the new exhaust. But keep in mind I took a wild guess that the noise reduction is the problem. It sounds so electronic like that the radio systems and noise reduction came to mind.
This is totally from left field, so laugh if you want. I believe the ecoboost mustangs have active noise control. Is that sound coming out of the radio speakers?
I wonder if there's a way to change the AC pulley size so it doesn't spin up so high. Granted that may hurt AC performance at low rpm. Probably not easy given the clutch mechanism and the like.
The bump is normal but try this. Put the clutch in and wait a few seconds before shifting into gear. You won't get the bump. I think what happens is the input side of the tranny, which is turning with the clutch out, spins down before the shift. If you clutch and shift quickly the...
The book value for motor oil thermal expansion is about 5% from room temperature to 200°F. That's a difference of 1/2 quart. It would be an interesting experiment to see if this would show up on a dipstick.
In CA the 30 day impound usually does the trick. Towing fees, 30 day storage fee, plus you need a current registration, license and insurance to get the car back. That usually dissuades the sideshow spectators, assuming the jurisdiction has a spectator ordinance. The promoters and swingers...
I don't have an ax to grind about EV's and think they are the future, but the results of this survey are interesting.
