In the SF Bay Area the sideshows are more sinister than a bunch of teens with cars. The smallest I've seen is 50 cars and they've topped out at 500. The average sideshow is 150-200. They are usually pre -planned by promoters and the participants and spectators aren't exactly the opera/ballet...

There could be a problem with the active noise reduction system unrelated to the new exhaust. But keep in mind I took a wild guess that the noise reduction is the problem. It sounds so electronic like that the radio systems and noise reduction came to mind.
