It's a super common problem on ford lugnuts. I see it a lot. It is a thin metal 'cover' over an actual metal lugnut - like hardened aluminum foil. Once you are able to chisel that down to the actual lugnut, youll be able to fit something like an 18 or 19mm on it and get it off.
I wish i...
Absolutely sounds like detonation to me. I'd pull some spark plugs and check their gap and condition.
It's basically when combustion happens by a cause other than the spark plug. The sound you are hearing is the combustion trying to push the piston back down before its ready to go back down...
Reminds me of a story from awhile back. My 11 year old nephew washed one of my older mustangs with dawn dish soap as a surprise and didnt tell me... he wanted to do something nice for me for my birthday, so he thought he'd clean the mustang.
Next time it rained - i noticed that none of the...
I weighed mine and it was exactly 3860 with a full tank as well. No other mods but a resonator delete. They do have some heft, but they dont really show it.
What is the deal with the fronts inside edge burning through tread? Im at almost 24k now and the outside tread is still 6/32 - but the insides are just starting to wear even with the tread lines of the tires..
Alignment is spot on, tire pressures have never ran high or low. I was...
Are you confusing upshift with downshift? When you go from 3rd to 2nd and coast - you are going to see see 20:1 - as the engine goes lean as the injectors shut off, and sees full vacuum with the throttle plate closed.
IF you are seeing it on acceleration - which i cant see how - you have many...
I'm not sure if this is the problem you are seeing, but if you are giving the car any kind of aggressive throttle that results in a downshift in any mode outside of normal and let off on the gas, the transmission will hold that gear forever for engine braking purposes.
That being said, a...
There are 10s of thousands of extremely happy 18+ owners (myself being one of them.) It's a very reliable platform that runs extremely strong. Don't be afraid to pull the trigger. I guarantee you won't regret it.
Try getting to the dipstick with the strut tower brace. It's much harder to get too, and if you try to check it while hot, you'll be burning your hand on every piece of metal under there.
Also as far as the cabin air filter, that door is a real pain! I thought it was just me. Also.. a T-20...
Do you have the regular exhaust on your '18 or active?
I've driven both, and the non-active exhaust seems to have a good tone - the active exhaust is a bit louder - even in normal mode. They use different mufflers entirely.
If adding an H pipe to the stock setup is what you are asking - it's...
