Did it sound the same? I know a lot of people are referring to it as belt chirp but it definitely sounds more like tapping in my situation. I know this issue is belt related but hearing a tapping sound like that on startup can be very distressing at first! I'm at 750 miles after install...

Thanks for the reply. I just got off the phone with Anthony from Hypermotive and he also said it was belt chirp and not something with the engine.

So it has been a week since my Whipple/OPG/TC install and everything has been great. Took the car out yesterday and everything sounded great. Got in the car this morning and when I started it I heard a tapping sound which would increase and decrease as engine RPM varied. Obviously this freaked...

Actually was about 2.5 days for total install.

Oh yeah, finally got my Whipple Stage 2, OPG and TG installed and I am loving it! When I bought this car a year ago I knew I would get a catback and a tune but I never thought I would get it supercharged. After spending many hours reading hundreds of different threads on this forum the upgrade...

Sorry to hear this happened and I hope any damage is minimal so you can get your car back on the road ASAP. I have my Whipple install scheduled in two weeks and was thinking of just going with the Whipple warranty but after reading this I have decided to go forward with the OPG's and crankshaft...

That's what I figured, didn't think there was anything closer. I went there a few times when I had my LS1 TA but haven't gone yet with the mustang. Thanks.
