I think someone mentions that this has cyllinder deactivation start stop BUT it might be deactivated by default in the manual.
If that is true, there's another reason to by the manual!!!
I stand corrected but still a good reason to get a manual
The interior screens reminds me of work sitting at my desk
Is it true that the back is wider and shorter? So we also lost trunk space? We really are pulling from the Camaro then.
Has there been a Mustang with a cover like that before?
Is it just me but having two fly by wire throttle bodies is it asking for trouble?
Do they both just dump into a common intake or is each dedicated to a bank of cyllinders?
Who else out there thought the name Dark Horse was just a style package and not a car performance package version?
I thought it was going to be a style where everything was 'murdered out' or all the wheels and shiny bits were in black with possibly the taillights etc smoked out too.
From what I heard, the handbrake is an on/off lever, not proportional. With a manual on a hill, I like to not use hill assist and will slowly lower the brake as I engage the clutch for a seemless transition from stopped to forward movement without rolling back.
Not sure I like an on/off switch...
I will never be in a SUV or puckup crowd. Not my thing so I can't :)
I have no use for either. My Mustang is a daily and I borrow or rent when I need to cart stuff which doesn't happen often.
I have a '19 GT PP2.
Likes:
I like the notch in the rear.
Hood heat extractor
Snowflake wheels - cool but feel cleaning will be a nightmare. Glad I have the PP2 wishbone wheels.
Dislikes:
lack of panel lines.
Looks like a Camaro - too flat
Front looks blunt. lacks character. Prefer the '19...
There is some parallels with a CVT transmission. They have no gearing but they made the programming act like it has gears because people wanted that feel.
Would you want a manual where the third pedal and stick was nothing more than simulating the sensation of a manual when really it is an...
thank you for the feedback but the real question was if you are a manual driver and want a manual, would you rather skip having one all together or have a manual where it is common with an automatic. I agree autos have come a long way but I am still not a fan and prefer the enjoyment of rowing...
All,
I have the plastic pan/ yellow plug Gen 3 5.0L coyote engine in my Mustang GT. From what I gather, it says it takes 10 quarts of oil but when I fill it with 10qts, it only goes up to 1/2 between the marks when cold and it has sat for a long time.
I always change my filter as well.
When...
Have you seen the latest Engineering Explained video on the CC850?
The tranny looks pretty cool and the thing I like is that it offers both manual and automatic options in one package.
I do not love the fact that there are 7 clutches and might be indifferent on the 'Clutch By Wire'
If you are...
For me, I require some metal flake in my paint on cars. I feel any shiny paint without it is like nail polish. With the metal flake, the color changes based on the angle to the sun which I love.
That would make me lean towards the Atlas Blue.
I also think there is more market interest in a...
OP,
Faster how?
Stop light/ drag strip - basically a dead heat and more driver dependent. Might be a tiny sliver going to the PP1 but barely.
Track or twisty roads - Mach 1 all the time. Better planted feel/ride.
No one car is fast at everything.
Think of it like this. a drag car and a...
From the above quote, I do not think the OP is interested in drag strip performance.
I think the OP just wants to be quick enough at the stop light racing or round town fun.
OP, If you are neither drag racing nor tracking the car, you will not be able to tell the difference of a couple tenths...
I think there is another question to be asked of the OP.
Are you good enough to obtain a 2 -4 second improvement over a 2.5 - 3 min race?
If no, then the difference will be absorbed by your driving skill deviations and all you will have is the lighter pockets and bragging rights of the Mach 1...
Is there any real difference, besides a badge and aesthetics, between a GT PP1 and a Mach 1?
Can someone tell me what they are?
I will list my thoughts on the PP1 vs base Mach 1 differences that I believe they are in terms of functionality.
As a for example, the manual PP2, because of its...
