Mine's the same way. What city was yours in? I'm just trying to track the safety inspectors' movements.
Also, what is the cash back people are talking about? If we're using X-Plan, we're not getting that, right?
I just want to reiterate that you have been absolutely great, Deysha. It's clearly a lack of information that has exacerbated this problem, but you have been a wonderful asset to this forum. I hope you don't take any of our complaining as an insult to you in any way. It's mostly to blow off steam.
Well, there were multiple problems which were outlined in an earlier post that showed some problems besides the seatbelt. Perhaps yours was a double offender, and they weren't tracking both problems when the first one was addressed at the factory. However, it's not a recall in the sense that...
All right, let's run through this. Ford identified a weakness in a part that they previously thought would meet specifications. They need to check those parts to see if they suffice or whether or not they need to be replaced. The malfunction in the parts has been released by the media to be...
All right, just got off the phone with the salesman. He says they've been trying to figure the situation out over the past three weeks. Basically, (what he says) all they have to do is an inspection with a special team of safety inspectors who are going from site to site. Once the inspection is...
Trust me, ManBearPig. Your situation is better. You know I've never even sat in an S550? Seems funny now. I just bought an MBRP Street to make sure I don't back out of buying this car.
I agree there's a fix, Comp, but it seems like the fix has bypassed our build week. Cars before us are being serviced and cars after us are getting the required part/fix. Meanwhile, our cars are sitting in a lot for no reason.
Can't put two pictures in one post but this one says "Remedy Not Yet Available" which leads me to believe that everyone is correct when they say our cars are just sitting on the lots. No work being done, no parts on site.
I'm not sure if anyone has done this yet, but I input my VIN into the recall database at ford ownership website and it brought this up. STILL does not have a date to correct and says the part has not been allocated. Looks like it's just the seatbelt. This is pathetic.
So if I get it detailed with CQuartz by a professional, do you think that would be good enough protection? I suppose I don't understand the difference in protection between a wax and a clear bra. This is my first nice car, so I want to protect it well off the bat. Thanks.
