I did this swap last year on my '15 V6 before moving to a '15 GT.
Great mod, if anyone in the Lake Havasu area is looking for one, I might have one.
Still looking at cat back systems for my GT.
The body lines of the 05-09 just look good, solid feel with the drive line.
My '07 with the Diablo 93 tune and trans shift tune would slam the axle up at gear changes, fun times. Easily controlled hard launches.
There are days I feel maybe I should have stayed home ( can't turn back time, lol ) and just washed my s197 rather than going to the Ford dealer, Yea the interior is above the s197 and power is amazing.
I miss my old 2007 Grabber Orange s197.
The color and body style in my mind was perfect.
Of course I won't get rid of my '15 GT, but just saying I miss the simplicity and clean body lines of the s197.
If given the chance I'd switch back.
On the other hand, the power of the '15 GT is nice.
Well guys, I did have a SS H-pipe on order but after rethinking what I was about to do, removing the stock resonator just didn't become something I wanted to do. Mufflers are stock and car is my DD.
Pipe was on backorder so canceling my order was no big deal.
So many systems on the market...
Standard practice it to place a jack under wherever you are going to tighten a rubber/urethane isolated joint, bring the jack up to raise that part of the suspension off the jack stand before tightening the pivot. What this does is place the suspension in it's natural state where it'll be driven.
Here's a hypothetical question, has anybody thought of or done a second H crossover on any standard H-pipe? Basically having a dual H setup?
Would it change performance or sound?
Just curious.
What's the difference between the Green filter at about $54 and the AFE Power about $66 other than price point?
Both are dry filters from reputable companies.
Guys I may have made a mistake!
Went to summit site today, and looked at this H-pipe I have on order from them,, not expected to ship to mid April.
Well the application is showing for manual trans and mines auto.
Wasn't aware of any difference with the two.
I screwed up and will call them...
You must have the working ones, LOL
I drive on pitch black roads every night and mine only throw out a little side light so they just stay off.
But they do look cool.
I don't use them. As for any help on a dark road they're worthless. Guessing just for the "cool" look.
My s197 had usable driving lights.
Real fog lights are typically amber not bright white.
Okay been looking into different brands of H-pipes, CJPP aluminized steel for around $85, AM aluminized steel around $152, MRT stainless steel for around $239.
Before I pull the trigger does anybody have any experience with any of these on a stock exhaust? Quality? Sound? X-pipe is out of the...
