Another poster on the deposit refund thread had said that their dealer told them there had been quite a number of cancellations so there are likely to be a few units sloshing around in the system now. So dealers will be going after interested people at the new selling price.
Didn't say they weren't good motors - quite the opposite - they are very very accomplished cars - can't argue with that - maybe I suffer Beamer jealousy for those that spring for them
Yep I'm sure that I have heard some ccompanies doing that as well. I have never had my own insurance over the last 20 years due to having a company car (and being names on my wife's car) but I believe I am entitled to put in for a full no claims as I have had nothing in all my years of driving...
Agreed - just the diehards hanging on who will take this kind of no info nonsense as we want the car regardless.
Like most on here this is a life long ambition to have a US muscle car in RHD. My car at any price wish list is really short and quite boring - the usual Aston Martin Vantage...
Yep, I would get onto someone - I was 27 Jan and although nothing from dealer I sent an email to Andy and Karen  came back with vin no. Stuck it in the window sticker thingy and got that - car built 31/8. I've no idea on delivery but the fact it has been built is reassuring and i know it...
One of the other posts said you could track the VIN if you knew the vessel name - anyone got a hold of that yet?
Also, what's the point of giving the dealers cars to sit on the floor for stuff they can't deliver for another year? Give the cars to the people who have paid their fu**in' money...
I never had anything from my dealer other than the receipt I got on the day I was in the showroom paying my deposit and 1 phone call in early June - that's it - nothing :-(
I have emailed a few times but eventually you give up as I was on this forum and found out that you lot knew a hell of a...
Keep the faith guys - it's got the the stage that a year from ordering is going to be the norm (perhaps a bit like having a child!)
We get too much info on this forum and as such our expectations are much higher and so the lows are much much lower.....
It's not as if there are hundreds of them...
Smack down:paddle: on the first bit :)
The poor lad was just trying to get some info and maybe didn't have time to get to the website. Also, he probably hasn't seen any of the other posts covering the queries asked or the fact that we all need to get over the handbrake / cup holder issue...
Wow - that's a happy surprise for you and a visit to the B-Max or Galaxy side of the showroom!
Are you not thinking about trying to get someone to pay you for your order like some others are doing ;-)
Head man at Ford UK :headbang:
Decent Chap who joined the forum to try and help out with all the queries and frustrations us impatient mustang orderers.
He has helped a few of us with updates so far.
Makes sense, now he just has to find someone happy to pay £1500 to possibly jump the q. Will probably be someone out there down south somewhere but would be surprised if it was a Scottish person:)
I would reckon that to avoid Ford keeping the car you would have to buy it in full and then sell it on making the new person the 2nd official owner - who also has to give you the full whack to take ownership (so bank loan or similar) rather than some ford credit or similar. Being 2nd owner hits...
I have the following items listed in the ETIS print out for my EB with custom pack:
With Level 2 Door Trim Panel
With Lunar Contrast Stitching
Premium Marketing Trim
Not sure if that means upgrade from standard or not but you might assume so from the wording but then what do we...
