Answer
I have a GTPP with a manual. My driving consists of 50/50 mix I would say. Gas mileage does take a hit in straight city especially if you get caught at some lights. Just normal cruising though for the most part and the car gets really good mileage.
I kind of expected this kind of...
The HP figures listed are based off 93 octane as well I believe. If Ford doesn't up the power for the 17MY then you can bet on it being in 18. Question is, how much are they going to up power vs. the Camaro? 475?
Gas Mileage
If I drive normally the car has no problem no problem returning 21 to 22 MPG around town. I did cruise up to San Marcos the other day and was registering right around 27 with the fuel economy gauge.
As it sits right now, with about 1400 miles on it, I am averaging just under...
Thanks for the replies. I was at the car wash and thought about leaving the fob in the car but decided against it. I plan on washing the car in the driveway for the most part but I had to just spray it down as it was really dirty,
I was spraying the Mustang down at the carwash today and noticed that when the water hits around the door handle the lights come on and door locks hit as if I was trying to grab the handle. I figured the smart lock was tripping out when the sprayer hit that area. I believe I can turn the smart...
I'm not a fan of Pirellis personally but these tires do have solid traction when warm out. In the cold the tires have to be warmed up a bit otherwise they break loose really easy. I drove my car down here is SA the other night and it was 37 and I could definitely tell a difference in traction...
If you get the Mustang you'll get used to the clutch in short order and yes the car does love to rev. I wouldn't necessarily call the issues you've read about issues. The car is a little finicky with the manual but overall it works well. My biggest complaint if I can even call it that would be...
My GTPP picks up all kinds of small rocks and what not when driving down some roads. Shit flys up against the underbody all the time. Tires must be that soft. And, they suck in the cold.
The visibility out of the mustang is pretty damn good IMO. I have been driving a super crew for years and I can see everything out of it and the Mustangs not far off just lower to the ground. Way better than I expected.
New Texas GT
I just wanted to take the time to introduce myself as well as the new Mustang. The car is a PP GT, 401A car in Oxford White and I just got the car about week ago and already have 1000 miles on it. This is a fun car and has plenty of power. I have attached a pic for your viewing...
Thanks for the update. I'll have to see what I can do about getting some of these installed using a lift. I just looked at the instructions and it seems like this would be a pain on the ground.
