  1. Anyone else wanna see a return of boss 302?

Sounds like some kind of abusive, co-dependant relationship with a car. Or maybe autoerotism means something completely different than I thought? Where’s that guy who says an old GT500 is like a new Boss 302, or whatever the hell it is he said, maybe he can set us straight on this black widow...
  2. Anyone else wanna see a return of boss 302?

And here I always thought that the GT350 was the new GT350! You can learn so much on this forum! :)
  3. All season tires

Two things: 1. Our friends south of the border think it’s a lot colder in the winter in southern Canada (e.g., Toronto) than it is, and so some may think what we Canucks say on threads like this doesn’t apply to them. But what you say could easily be said with New York, Boston, Detroit, Chicago...
  4. Prepping new mustang GT for winter

Lots of recent opinions about all seasons versus winters here: https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/all-season-tires.163924/
  5. All season tires

    Thank you Norm. :)
  6. All season tires

By the way my interest in this isn’t just academic. I’ve been watching online sales sites for decent rims for winter use for months now. And as it happens this 50th Anniversary appearance package set shod with almost-new Hancock i-Cept Evo2 winters came up for sale near me just days ago. They...
  7. Texas 50th Anniversary Wheels + Tires. The Whole Package $700!

Yes, they do indeed, I’m pleased to say, thanks!
  8. All season tires

That makes sense. My posts are about what to do if you want to use two sets, which is you may as well go full Monty, then.
  9. All season tires

Your car, your choice. :) Not writing these posts for you, by the way, but for people thinking about it. For the record, I’ll concede without reservation that all seasons are better than ever, and that’s a good thing. But when the weather turns dicey or, more apropos, icey, why not get the...
  10. All season tires

In the Canadian province of Quebec you are fined if you drive without winter tires. In British Columbia they are required on certain roads (B.C.’s weather is enormously variable, from mild to wild, with some lowland areas having almost Mediterranean weather in the winter.) And throughout Canada...
  11. All season tires

It’s misleading. Snow is a concern, yes; ice too. But the danger of low temperatures is insidious, and you reach a critical threshold long before there’s white stuff falling. And temperature is fundamental: there’s no snow or ice if it isn’t cold. Calling them “snow tires” leads many people to...
  12. All season tires

7 C is the standard cut off temp given on countless websites for when you should seriously consider getting winter tires. (I never said anything about the other way around: i.e., that there’s any danger in running winters at more than 7 C.) There’s tons of info online if you search, including...
  13. Is Magneride worth it to get the best of both worlds for a track car/daily driver?

Yes, indeed they spin free and clear! Now off again and into storage until November or so.
  14. Texas 50th Anniversary Wheels + Tires. The Whole Package $700!

I’m about to buy what I believe to be the very same wheels up here in Ontario for winter use. Do you know if they’ll fit over the Brembos on my Bullitt?
  15. Is Magneride worth it to get the best of both worlds for a track car/daily driver?

Picking them up tomorrow morning for $1,100 CDN, which works out to about $900 US, a bargain if they check out. Apparently the wheels are like new and the tires have only been used a bit during two winters. Buying the same sets of tires and rims brand new would have set me back 2 or 3 multiples...
  16. Is Magneride worth it to get the best of both worlds for a track car/daily driver?

Thanks. My guess is that they are 50th Anniversary Package wheels as opposed to the wheels that came with the 1,964 50th Anniversary cars and therefore 8.5” (still waiting to hear more about the specs). Tires were advertised as 255s when I first found them. If they were the rarer wheels that...
  17. 50th Anniversary rims on Bullitt

Does anybody know if these 2015 50th anniversary rims will clear the brakes and otherwise fit on my 2020 Bullitt? They already have winters on them, which I’ll be needing in a couple of months, so I’m thinking of going to see them and maybe making an offer. I’m pretty sure they’re narrower...
  18. Is Magneride worth it to get the best of both worlds for a track car/daily driver?

At the risk of hijacking the thread, does anybody know if these 2015 50th anniversary rims will clear the brakes and otherwise fit on my 2020 Bullitt? They have winters on them and I’m thinking of making an offer. I’m pretty sure they’re narrower than my OEMs but I’m fine with that.
  19. Is Magneride worth it to get the best of both worlds for a track car/daily driver?

In some parts, maybe, California’s a big place, but certainly not SoCal.
