  1. Road & Track chimes in on Weight Gain!

Doesn't matter really, its going to weight more. The GT PP loaded up will be a fat porker. probably around 3950-4k pounds. That extra HP increase will be washed away. My guess ..4.5 seconds 0-60mph and about the same ET times as the current GT..just a guess though. It will gain a more...
  2. Rumor: Steeda Blog - 2015 Mustang Weight Gain (Updated with Steeda's Response)

3900lbs would be way too much for the EB. That would be sad sad sad news. That will truly be a pig with the HP and Torque. It would be a monster at close to 3k pounds though. Looks like I will be sticking to my plan. I really don't see how the GT PP isn't going to weigh less then it is now...
  3. Rumor: Steeda Blog - 2015 Mustang Weight Gain (Updated with Steeda's Response)

Hopefully the pig can still dance and groove;)
  4. Rumor: Steeda Blog - 2015 Mustang Weight Gain (Updated with Steeda's Response)

I believe the GT PP loaded up will be the one that might be the big gainer. I don't see how it will not weigh less. If it does end up weighing less then the current Camaro, that's still a win and should outperform it in every conceivable way. The EB better not weight 3900lbs though. That...
  5. Rumor: Steeda Blog - 2015 Mustang Weight Gain (Updated with Steeda's Response)

Please HIGHLIGHT "ESTIMATED" meaning you didn't weight the cars. man...
  6. Rumor: Steeda Blog - 2015 Mustang Weight Gain (Updated with Steeda's Response)

I don't think you will find one stickered 4100. Your are thinking of the Challenger. Even with the sunroof or vert, it doesn't weight that much. The SS should be around 3950. This really doesn't matter, in 2016 the Camaro is going on the Alpha. It will indeed be much lighter, faster and...
  7. Rumor: Steeda Blog - 2015 Mustang Weight Gain (Updated with Steeda's Response)

I will definitely be rocking the EB and only a lease. I believe Ford will HAVE to counter GM with the Camaro in 2016. The only way to do that is to loose weight or go bigger on HP in the GT, which might mean a whole new engine. Either way, it appears the first year is going to be a pig...
  8. Rumor: Steeda Blog - 2015 Mustang Weight Gain (Updated with Steeda's Response)

Oink Oink, the Mustang could become the little Pig.
  9. Rumor: Steeda Blog - 2015 Mustang Weight Gain (Updated with Steeda's Response)

could be EPIC FAIL in my book. I don't want a 3900lb smaller based wheel car then a Camaro and get laughed at since its a smaller but weights the same. I mean, heck the Challenger is boat as it is, but I love the looks of it for pure retro muscle. I think I might go buy a used one. This...
  10. All 2015+ Mustang S550 renders / chops compilation

I wonder if we can do that with the new track app, line lock...hmm awesome pick!!:clap2::ford:
  11. Why are YOU buying the new 'Stang?

I clicked on performance, but the looks alone make me want to drool and weights heavily on my decision. I haven't even seen it in person yet, but would imagine it looks even better. I am tempting to try and just lease or buy a DD 2.3l the first year and then buy a GT down the road.
  12. GT350 vs. Z/28

The Z28 is just a "cheap trick" by GM. Throw some expensive brakes and tires on it and call it a day..It appears to be a bargain on paper, until you really dig into it deep and find out you can't race it anywhere but your back yard. If anything, GM needs to come up with better designs on there...
  13. Why are YOU buying the new 'Stang?

The FRS/BRZ are really not a true competitor, but I see why some would cross shop it. The size isn't comparable (more a miata, S2000, Z3 type of car size(especially in the backseat department since it almost the size of those two seat cars, but it is RWD, fairly fun to drive and looks sporty...
  14. Why no performance pack for the automatic GT? (outside 50th ann. ed.)

Expect 3 to 4 weeks for specs. I am sure a loaded GT vert will give you the choices you like or need.
  15. 2015 Mustang (s550) Specs and Technical Info Guide (GT V8, V6, EcoBoost)

Another reason why Ford is staying ahead of the curve. The government just came out and said all cars built need to have a back up camera by 2017 as standard equipment. The studies show they do make a difference.
  16. Why no performance pack for the automatic GT? (outside 50th ann. ed.)

Its only going to get more and more better from an Auto standpoint. GM/Ford building the 9speed and up will find its way into the Mustang at some point. Smooth, efficient, and most likely will be even a better trans for drag.
  17. How long before we see some specs & prices?

It feels like the muscle car wars are back. It's tit for tat, nobody really wins. (unless you have a Mustang of course:ford:). ..and I have to say, I wasn't born back then, but looking at what my father told me and others, the bigger engine, more HP is right around the corner. However, weight...
  18. Why no performance pack for the automatic GT? (outside 50th ann. ed.)

+`100% You can't beat the consistency and reliability of the Auto for drag. An aftermarket tune does wonders to the auto as well vs the manual. If your into tracking the car, get the 5.0 or 4pot manual. I have an auto as well, but would prefer to have the padel shifters as an option like the...
  19. Any Rumors On an S550 Lincoln?

Lincoln MKZ sales have shot up like 75% in the last couple months. The car has a lot to offer for the price. Distinctive enough from the Ford counterparts..~~check Stylish and comfortable with many more options standard~ Check FE (at least in thy Hybrid version) ~~~check The only...
  20. Any Rumors On an S550 Lincoln?

That is good news from a sales prospective. However, it is Fords mission to get those 40-50 year olds into a new Lincoln. This is the sweet spot and the future for luxury buyers. Right now, the average age buyer of a lincoln is over 60. It's still too high, and many my age and younger still...
