My "Local" Ford Dealer's mechanic didn't even know the wheels/lug nuts were to be torqued to 150 ft/lbs until I asked him what he tightened them to (he gave me the wrong answer).. Beware..

I don't recall the exact sequence but my car definitely locked the doors all by it's little self.. I *think* I had the engine idling w/the key inside and I left the car... I came back and the doors were all locked. I had to use the emergency door handle key to get into the car.. I was PO'ed.

Ford GT-40 transmission fluid (Motorcraft MTX-75 IB5 transmission fluid XT-M5-QS)..for smoothness.. I have not used this in my GT but I have used it in a 6-Sp Turbo MX5 where it's well thought of.. Trans works far better for me....... It's also about $20.00 p/Qt..

This is excellent - thank you.. Knowing what can (will) go wrong in advance is huge. I wanted to do this piece but it's part of a bigger suspension package and that (potentially) lost time has to factored in - especially when using the neighbor's garage and HIS Mrs. car is left in the rain..

I would mount the wheels first and see if you even need them programmed... I bought new FoMoCo TPMS (35's) for my new wheels and while the shop that mounted the tires/wheels couldn't get them to flash, they synced immediately with the car when I checked as driving away...

That would be great! Sway bar diameters to begin with would be helpful.......(Shocks are a different subject) I really like the Ford Racing package but there's so little detail.. I have already made bad decisions with suspension combinations on other cars and I'm trying to avoid that here...
