you forget the ecu will be fighting that so no it won't rev higher. Why would you fight so f ing hard to not just look at the damn TB!

pull your intake tube and look at the throttle body for carbon and work the plate by hand and see if it snaps back after it is opened fully and released. It could just need to be cleaned if you have never cleaned it.
