You have no need to get to the SD card once its in there if you use a USB cable into the front of the nGauge. Here is my instructions from beef and how I've been using it since day 1.
To load, treat the ngauge like an external usb drive
connect to your pc with the supplied usb cable...

Yep. I understand they said it would be tight but they absolutely will NOT go into the connector on mine, I tried sanding down the plastic a little and plan on giving it another shot shortly.
I got two I'm not using if you're just gonna run a set on the front or rear only. My sportlines lowered the front too much for the spacer to run without rubbing.
