Its the stitching by the shifter. The old one didn't have any stitching and the new one has the red stitching.

I remove the engine cover with the stock GT PP brace all the time. So I believe you're right in that it just depends on the brace.

So the verdict is in...they didn't find shit and they refuse to drop the trans without any "symptoms". So I just got my car and left. Drove it like I stole it on the way home and it feels fine. If something comes up I'll take it to another dealer as this one obviously doesn't care very much...

Just wanted to post an update: So it's been about 8 business days and the dealership just yesterday assigned a tech :frusty:. So I hope they have an answer for me before the end of the week because it's sucked so much not having my car for the last week and a half.

Dropped her off this morning. If I didn't know the issue happened on Friday i would never suspect something was wrong. The car drove fine to the dealership but I didn't do any pulls or anything so I hope they find whatever the problem is and don't just drive it and state that it's all good.

Yup... just redo the tune download with your PC plugged into the OBD and run the tune.

+1 on the K&N cover. I posted a pic a while ago for those interested in seeing how it fits. Also had the part number in there as well. Personally I never experienced a soaked filter after some rain but the cover will help those few drops roll right off.
