From what I understand Ford set it up so the ECU will tell them more than that specifically for this car. I'm not sure if it will tell them what tune was in it (I doubt it does). But they will know there was a non factory tune. Evidence of non factory tune = voided warranty. Zero tolerance...
Really? And you have that confirmed by?????? Your uncles friends cousins next door neighbor that is a roofer by trade?
Even if they couldn't tell. It still makes you a thief.
The exceptions that prove the rule?
I'm going to go with Occam's Razor on this one. The simplest and most likely answer is most people are lying. What what? Lying on the internet for worthless social points?!?!?! Never happened in history!
If you're referring to if they can 100% tell if the tune has been tapered with....it's a fact. Are you suggesting Ford can't design software to track tampering? There are 12yr olds that could write that code. I don't know if you have picked this up from my previous posts but my best friend was...
Ford knows that they have paid a ton of fraudulent warranty claims over the years. Do you think they don't have the internet? I know for a fact that Ford is taking the power-train warranty very seriously on the GT500. If the car has ever had anything but the stock tune in it (they can absolutely...
100% correct.
Again, 100% correct. I know ounces were stressed over while MAINTAINING A BUDGET. The key here is budget. They could drop 500# off of the car and not need to stress their engineering power one iota. It simply costs money. Money that they rightly thought would drive the price of...
When Ford set out to design the car they had certain performance standards that they deemed they needed to meet. I know this and what those standards are because my best friend was the performance standards engineer for the project. His job was to keep the car on track (no pun intended) through...
The ability to get concave is dictated by the car. The distance between the hub and the fender is the limit. Unfortunately Ford has not had a very large distance to work with in some time. These actually look very concave compared to most and look more concave IMO than you actually have...
Ford doesn't have final specs yet. If they did, they would release them. The process for rating HP and weight is not nearly as simple as you think it would be. Part of those calculations is in the hands of other entities. Which means Ford get's to wait just like we do.
They do have stiff like...
You missed the point of our discussion. The discussion was that nothing but supercars/hypercars (and their price tags) come with a DCT that can handle 700+hp. Not that you can't build a robust DCT. So the fact that Ford has a DCT in the GT500 at the GT500 price is a pretty cool thing.
The Zora lineup?
The NA one will be a LT whatever they want to call it in the high 400's low 500's. The FI motor will be the Cadillac V8 hot vee TT in the high 600's low 700's.

You can put the same trans in a trans-axle. The C6 and C7 are technically a trans-axle. They have T56's turns around and bolted up to the "diff". The Zora may have everything in one case, but the guts are still the same. Tremec didn't develop two different DCT's.
