Well, we will find out what the Camaro will weigh.. As tested by Car and Driver, there is a 185ish pound difference between a fully loaded 4 turbo ATS and the fully loaded ecoboost with the Mustang being heavier. That gives GM a good amount of room to make up for having to widen the platform...

Why would they waste money and make it a few pounds heavier to have support for AWD when the car won't have it available? It hasn't been available.. So, what's the problem? I would prefer to have awd, but Honda nor Toyota offer it and they're killing the sales. Man, you sound like a bitter...

I agree that Chevy doesn't have anything they have shown yet to fight off the 350.. They need a NA higher revving engine. However, the LT1 should do well head to head against the Mustang GT. I think any trim LT1 and below will do well. Maybe GT 350 parts will trickle down to Gt. We shall see.

So are we to say that the standard ATS coupe which is missing a bunch of options weighs the same as the premium which is still lightweight at 3,479.. Just do an apple to Apple comparison.

Stripped of what? A base coupe ATS is better loaded than a base Ecoboost.

The curb weight on Cadillac website is not for the premium trim.. It's for the 2.0 standard.. So, the car gained about 60 pounds once loaded.. Not bad at all.

Found it.. That's the premium trim that weighed 3,479 pounds. So, how do you compare that to a 200 pound heavier ecoboost Mustang in equal trim?
