Today i was looking at my GT's hood's structure and I've seen that even if the upper part is made of alu, there is an under side which seems to be made of heavy steal and that seems to be the very cause of its huge weight. what if I stripped that steal structure down? Did any of you guys did...

I have an H mid pipe on my Mustang but I don't like the sound (and I'm going to change it son for the Ford Racing mid X pipe), my X pipe on my 575 C3 Corvette sounds meaner and I have also the impression that the X pipe allows rpms to climb easier and smoother then the H pipe... But that's me.
