I thought someone said to contact the Better Business Bureau and file a complaint also. The customer service manager I talked with told me after the Engineer looked at mine if there was still an issue they would look at it further. I think I talked with Tara ext. 77733.

Call the customer care line. They told me if it still vibrated they will take another look at it.

I'm sure they know more than they will admit to as its damage control on the issue for the warranty period. The rear diff fixed 80% of the vibration but the dealership was quick to ask if they can close out the item with ford. I said i'm going to take time to drive the car a few hundred miles...

Look for the car you want or as close to the price you are comfortable paying. If ya settle for something less you may not be happy with the car down the road. I don't care for the 19 inch 50th appearance package wheels in my 15 but i know i can change those out one day.

I usually find 3 cars that I really like and go from there. I prefer the 401A but I wanted the pro audio and memory seats. Looks like a nice car for the price and i'm sure if you look long enough you'll find a better deal but it may not be the color or options you wanted.

They should probably neutralize the exhaust and make sure thats not the issue. I also agree with the engine bogging and exhaust approach.

Put 200 miles on since the new diff and it seems ok so far. Other than no car for 16 or so days, the process is done. I think ford knows there is a bad vib problem as they directed the dealership through the troubleshooting. Although the tech at the dealership thought there was still some vib...

Yes i know it has nothing to do with bearings however it made some terrible noise until i added another bottle of the additive and thats why i mentioned it.

That's good news. Growing up in a body shop my dad's techs were always working on new dealer cars (got their overflow) for body alignment and paint defects. (all brands) This issue is above paint defects. Back then no one knew any different unless the rework was just as bad. ;)

There is also a friction modifier in the rear end. My wifes 99 GT did something similar and i added a little more and it was good. Maybe they are on to something.

Did they service it with fluid? I had my wifes 99 gt rear bearings replaced and they didn't add any friction Modifier and it kind of sounded like that. I would drop the car back and call the ford customer rep.
