Got it, thx.
I have ARH Catted Headers and a Lund tune so whatever they do for this setup is what I have.
Getting 420/430 codes.
So after installing the defoulers with spacer and if fuel trims are abnormal try the next size spacer?
Actually I just read smallest is for no cats, mid size for hi flow cats, biggest for damaged cats(rare use).
But still would like to know what you were mentioning about FAOCS being turned off In the tune.
I seen the posts on these after a search on these. But not much info on which spacer to use.
What I'd like to know is what's the proper size spacer to use in the Defouler itself? Small, medium, or large?
Like which one for FI? For Cats and so on?
Is it trial and error to see which one works for...
I have Whipple Gen 3.
Am using all 4 Vacuum ports on the Whipple Manifold.
Fuel Reg boost ref
Boost Gauge
IAT Sensor
Bypass Valve
All lines are cleanly installed so that's not an issue.
What I am asking, would it be better for all around Vacuum Pressure if I used a Vacuum block? Would there be...
Been talking to ARH about Cats and he says their's are good for about 700HP.
I just got off the Dyno today and put down 677 WHP. So prolly around 750 Crank. (6R80)
So for now I think I'm good but he is looking into a smaller OD Cat for me.
Thx for the pics.
If I do get some I'll go down to the...
What did you do to make them fit?
In this pic you can see I have no room. The muffler shop said that adding a half inch each side would cause TQ to knock from the cross member. And Kooks Cats being 7.5" long there's no room to adjust them downstream.
Do you have a pic of your setup?
When I had his tune he sent me a new revision for the fuel system so yes you need to log every revision to make sure it's calibrated properly.
Also he got me to set my pressure to 55PSI with Vac hose off.
Update: Bought some Kooks Green Cats. Good to 850 HP. But unfortunately are 4.5" OD. Fit with Kooks longtubes because Kooks are a 3/4 length Header. Didn't do my research. Wouldn't fit with the ARH Midpipes. Since ARH Cats are 3.5" in OD. So lost 25% restocking fee which sucked.
Anybody know of...
Up here that price tag nearly doubles with the dollar difference and cost of shipping duties taxes etc.
So maybe a used Longblock. But I'm getting ahead of myself here and will worry about it when it happens.
Or not.
Good thing is it runs good enough on the base tune to daily it. Just no boost etc.
Haha sounds like we're in the exact same boat. I was supposed to have my first foray into racing this weekend. The shop that does some of my work is holding a track rental. Was hoping to learn some tips and get practiced so I don't look the fool when I go to the regular track days. Even tho...
I ordered the OBDLink MX+
for the Forscan hook up.
Hopefully can get an idea on where to look at. Not much left I can do at this point.
Pretty much done all I can except for the compression test.
I haven't got any codes , I wish I did. Torinate mentioned he's seeing the misfires in mode 6. I didn't know about using Forscan for misfires or whatever they are, but will definitely be looking at getting the items needed for it.
Yea I hear ya.
On the new tune I don't have any more backfiring so we're getting there. But still hear and feel it at idle hot or cold op temps.
Lol
Thx about the back it's not something i'd wish on anyone and is getting better, albeit slowly. Yes I remember our conversations, I'm always...
With Lunds tune my tach isn't fluctuating anymore.
Just can hear and feel the stumble. I was at a car show on thursday night and someone asked what that noise was so I'm not hallucinating this shit. I'll have to check on what you said about different sounds from the exhaust.
Not my business. And I don't know why he put that on my post.
But sure sounds like you two have a past alright.
But yes very easy to hear thru the exhaust. Like I said wump wump wump.
