From owning an 18 and 19 that both had the 2k rattle to different extents, I can confirm that it sounds nothing like a belt issue.

My 18 ticked hardcore, my feb built 19 ticks on and off, just not as bad (yet). Also has the rattle worse than the 18 did, a crap trans and noises in the column/rack. Goes alright though lol

Yeh it's that skipping between 3rd to 5th that really accentuates mine too. 1300KM on it now, and it's as bad as ever. I think I know what you mean with the dipping revs too, mine does that a bit occasionally at the same shift point.

Yeah I know it is, my comment was tongue in cheek. I don't see why there would need to be that point of difference in a Mustang though, over dozens of other mid to large size cars that have struts. The GT500 has a central strut also, albeit quite a different setup.
