So I've read a bunch of threads, and the only one that has really talked about linear vs. progressive springs was the BMR thread. I understand the mechanical differences between the two, but what is the practical difference? My car is mostly my daily driver, but I've joined NASA and want to...
So I've noticed 2 things with mine that may be normal or not - I just don't know this car well enough to say. First, I hear a lot of noise now when I'm near a wall with the windows down (say in a drive thru) that sounds like clicking - is it just the valve noise I've heard that these cars have...
Why? I know on Subaru it was actually bad to vent to the atmosphere. The ecu expected the recirc and atmospheric venting caused problems

In reality, are we going to see much of a power difference between something like this and a 3" to 2.5" catback system with high flow cat DP? If we are talking ~5hp, not sure the extra $600 is worth it...
Definitely louder - you can hear the whoosh of the turbo quite clearly. As for seat of the pants dyno? Honestly? Nothing really. I'm sure it'll help when I get a custom tune for the car, though. Also, I'm learning I suck at driving this car, lol, so that could be it, too. Need to practice more.
You're doing better than I am... 7.1 is my best. Gyah, launching my LGT and WRXs was so much easier... :( I suck, lol. How much diff does altitude play? I'm figuring not much on a turbo car. I'm at 5000ft.
So interestingly enough - it seems one of the gauge settings is what's causing the problem. I connected the AP to my computer, and reset it to defaults, and it works again. The one I had selected when it "crashed" was the CAT V Sensor (I think). I was trying to monitor the charge air temps.
Yeah I turned on beta updates and one came down. Communicated until I went to gauges then went back to trying to communicate

So I flashed my car to stage one last week and it all seemed to go fine. Yesterday I hooked up the ap to monitor the gauges and after a minute it said shutting down because it detected the engine had turned off. I was still driving. Now when I plug out in it turns on and just sits at trying to...
Yeah... I'm starting to consider the trade up to the GT... but not just yet. I drive a TON so I bought this car as a compromise (mpg). We'll see if I'm happy with it after I finish (IC, TBE, springs). If not, then I'll look at the 2017 GTs. /sigh
