  1. New 777 Performance front fascia for 15-17

The 777 didn't have the little "vents" next to the headlights though. And I believe it also allows you to reuse the stock grill. The ikon does not. The ikon also has those vents, which I like.
  2. Question for those who self installed a Whipple Gen 5 System

I did my install about 2 months ago. It was not bad at all. Agree, you probably need 2 people to lower the blower on the heads. It is def lighter with the lid off though.
  3. New 777 Performance front fascia for 15-17

Almost pulled the trigger on the i5 autohaus but talked to a guy who ordered one and said it was all one piece and the pre-paint job was not good. He then ordered an ikon and all the gloss black pieces are modular so you can properly paint them separately vs. having them taped off on the i5...
  4. New 777 Performance front fascia for 15-17

I'm leaning toward the ikon performance. Waiting to see a few more people get them on to confirm fitment is good and then I'm pulling the trigger.
  5. Supercharged Cars - what street tires do you run?

I'm running continental conti extreme contact sport 315/35/20. Whippled 750 whp, 570 tq. -1.1 camber in the rear. I get surprisingly good traction. It's very manageable and predictable. I mean 1st and 2nd gear are useless, but otherwise I can't complain for street driving :)
  6. OPG & CS Installation Poll -- Have you upgraded these parts?

Maybe I'm weird but I thought installing the OPG was fun. Wasn't hard, just time consuming. Agree that timing it was one of the easier parts. Just take your time and follow instructions. I did it when installing the Whipple, so I already was almost halfway there. The actual OPG part of the...
  7. 5.0 Dyno Chart Compilation

Looks like part of it is that they ran mine to almost 8k. I have OPG & sprocket which might be part of the reason they did that. At 7 -7200 I'm right around 700-720.
  8. 5.0 Dyno Chart Compilation

2017 gt 6 speed with gen 5 whipple, 3.8 pulley, 132mm TB, 1050x, bap, SW catless long tubes, frpp 2.5" exhaust. PBD tuned on 93 octane, no octane booster. One run with exhaust valves open, and one closed.
  9. Dyno Tune & Fuel Question

On this topic, other than lambda and knock, do you guys monitor any pids on ngauge to catch early on if you got a bad tank of gas? I see OAR as an option, but not exactly sure what I should be looking for there. It seems like it "learns" and adjust tables, which doesn't seem like it would be...
  10. Dyno Tune & Fuel Question

Thanks all. I'll probably take the 2-tune approach. I guess what threw me off was a post on here where I read that you should always use octane booster during a tune to ensure there won't be any fuel issues, because "fuel inconsistencies" is one of the first things a tuner will point to if...
  11. Dyno Tune & Fuel Question

Thanks EFI - that answers my question and is what I was thinking as well.
  12. Dyno Tune & Fuel Question

Looking for opinions on this. I just installed a Gen5 Whipple on my 2017 GT. Going in this Friday for a dyno tune and I'm trying to decide if I should add Boostane or just leave it on pump gas (93). I don't plan on running Boostane normally (I will be driving this car several times per week)...
  13. 2nd gen coyote catch can / open atmosphere tank

I have a Gen5 Whipple on my 2017 GT and went with the UPR catch can for 18+. I did change 1 fitting, but otherwise worked perfect (it still would have worked fine without me changing the fitting).
  14. New 777 Performance front fascia for 15-17

So that is the 18+ version. Assuming its the same for the 15-17? All the pics of the 15-17 version I've seen has the words and emblems.
  15. New 777 Performance front fascia for 15-17

That does help, thanks! No shelby logo on the splitter either?
  16. New 777 Performance front fascia for 15-17

I like the Ikon version a bit better because it has the faux vents next to the headlights and the grill opening is a bit more proportional, but hate the fact that it says GT500 on it and Shelby on the splitter. I'm not trying to pretend that I have a GT500; I just like the look of that bumper...
  17. 2016 GT GEN 5 Whipple build

I also moved the vacuum bypass nipple to the top position and used a 90 degree 1/4" soft elbow and a 1/4" barb fitting to connect it to the existing hose. This moves it away from the heater hose connection and also makes sure it stays clear of the bypass valve "arm". Others may not have had...
  18. 2016 GT GEN 5 Whipple build

Here are the parts: quick connect: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000C2WEKA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 hose: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000C2WELE/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 shrink fittings (need 3)...
  19. 2016 GT GEN 5 Whipple build

I just did this tonight. Need to get one more clamp to install it, but fitment is way better. Transferred the restrictor over to the new one. I'll get the links to the parts and post them.
