  1. Tyre dilemma

I wanted a second set of rims as changing tyres twice a year will increase wear on the alloy and may damage it. Also means I can swap them over at home. But yeah, if your garage can store your tyres then that's a big bonus!
  2. Tyre dilemma

I've done 2) - have a set of Nokians full winters on a second set of PP Nickel wheels sitting in the garage. Car felt v secure on them last winter.
  3. How do you use yours?

Another GT daily driver here - plus it's the only car in our household. I'm a member of the local on-street car club, so if there's anything bulky or dirty or smelly to move, I'll use theirs. But that's very infrequent.
  4. What did you do to your UK S550 Mustang Today

After two weeks away in Croatia, took the car out for a spin in the Scottish sunshine last night. Must be something about chips, as I also stopped by the chipper on the way home!
  5. What did you do to your UK S550 Mustang Today

Less of what I did, but more of what I found - an Instagram post by someone at the dealer from the day before delivery day with an RS sibling. Guess it's a compliment.
  6. Wheels have been painted on the inside

Both sets of Nickel wheels (one set for summer and one for winter) that I have are 100% silver. Does your car have chrome around the windows?
  7. What did you do to your UK S550 Mustang Today

Yeah, driven 5 or 6 S197 examples in North America down the years. Pre and post facelift cars with the last being a Coyote V8 from Avis in Calgary. That's the first thing I noticed when I drive an S550 (also in Calgary, a V6 'vert), that the newer car felt so much more sophisticated and...
  8. What did you do to your UK S550 Mustang Today

I started off wanting a late model 2013 S197 GT but that idea was smacked down by the wife who refused to drive anything LHD.... So sigh. Just had to get the newer car in RHD instead :)
  9. Another rear sequential indicator

Ah, I guess Audi gets away with it as it's a single "light"?
  10. Am I going crackers?

Yes! Especially after a wash *and* a hoover!
  11. Another rear sequential indicator

Think this cropped up a couple of weeks back, flashes the reds as part of the sequence which probably isn't legal for UK roads. Am a fan of sequentials turn signals in general, but gotta be done right. ie all orange.
  12. Am I going crackers?

Probably unlike a good proportion of the forumites, up until now I've been running my GT on cooking unleaded, figuring that my usual driving doesn't need the extra guns that 98 brings to the party. Ran turbo'd cars down the years on the good stuff, so it's not like a stranger. Anyway, usually...
  13. The UK S550 "spotted" thread

Think I've seen that car a few times out Banchory way. SX something.
  14. Cheap sequential lights

Blimey, that looks like a good deal. Think that might be my next mod! Update, just noticed the red bars flash red when indicating, and I'm not so keen on that.
  15. What did you do to your UK S550 Mustang Today

Just got around to putting my summer wheels (avec OEM Pzero rubber alas) back on the car this morning. As the summers (another set of standard Nickel 19" wheels) came without TPMs got a tyre shop to pop them off the rims and install the replacements. Bought the TPMs from the FordPartsUK...
  16. Ford strikes again - now resolved

Mine was registered against the same date as collection date - 24th December which was a Saturday! So I presume it's possible for dealers to do the paperwork in advance? Or is it online nowadays?
  17. The UK S550 "spotted" thread

Clocked McXtravert crusing down Queen's Road in Aberdeen yesterday afternoon. Looking v shiny sir!
  18. The UK S550 "spotted" thread

Saw my first Guards GT on a '65 plate with Nickel wheels earlier today parked up at Heathrow T5. A very subtle colour.
  19. Pick Up Day - Another McMustang!

Nice. I do like the red tail lights.
  20. Triple Trouble, my new GT. (Pic Heavy)

    Nice! Loud car, loud colour!
