Watch the video on how the switchfire works, its not raspy like a traditional X, I think the H pipe sounds like a motorboat, the switchfire lands right in between. I think the tone changes even more with the actual borla exhaust(for the better vs stock mufflers- I think this gives the...
Agreed. I had this noise in 2nd and 3rd. I was able to reduce it by giving the shifter the gt350 treatment of insulating the reverse spring, but it was still there. I was already leaning towards getting an MGW and this sealed the deal. MGW not only eliminates this noise, but gives you a...
I have the roush kit, I like the redline too. If you open your hood alot at some point the FP lower bracket will begin to twist...the others have a two point attachment for the brackets.
I also use a sun joe spx3000, I've put it through hell and back, it's more of a "power washer" but it just keeps going. Got a smaller "gun" on amazon as well and a foam cannon and just swap it out if im washing the cars.
Also get soap that will suds up in a foam cannon, some do not.
In addition, I was having slight clutch jutter, I broke in the clutch properly was a little pissed...that is also gone with the fluid change. Seems to be a result of the thin fluid allowing some vibration that mimics a clutch jutter.
It will only take 30 seconds of driving it to realize why, I heard how great the tr3160 was and was sorely disappointed compared to my c5s build t56...I was met with with clunkly shifts and a gear nibble going into 5th, all which was solved with d4...ford and any oem are going to spec the...
I did endless hours of research on what the gt350 crowd uses, the only consensus is it needs a thicker fluid, and I agree...will LV work? Of course, it's the latest spec and the best for mpg/emissions, so ford specs it's. If you think tremec build the trans around LV...well I can't help you...
Needs some break in and this trans(most Tremecs) hates shifting cold. Mine got better at 2K miles, but still felt clunky. I changed the trans fluid to D4, feels like it should now, while I get this fluid was speced probably for emissions purposes, the LV has no business in this gearbox IMO.
I switched to d4, I used both d4 and amsoil in my t56, D4 aways served me well. The LV is like water and trash imo. I did a lot of research on what the gt350 crowd uses, no real consensus, some even used a mixture of fluids. Many like mtf, syncromesh, DCTF from the focus or varous atfs, d4...
The d4 shifts great, I cannot reccomend it enough, but thats not to say MTL will not work, maybe even better, honestly, I think anything thicker the tremec will like better. I went with ATF solely if i run into a warranty issue they are not going to know the difference, mtl will be noticeable...
Maybe 5 minutes? a few youtube videos out there show you how to do it. pop off two panels, 4 t20s hold the gaufe to the panel. Done.
I have 5k on the car.
Swapped to the GT500 Center gauges and replaced the water they call trans fluid last night to redline D4. Shifts WAY better IMO and got rid of the slight gear "nibble" I had when cold going into 5th.
I Went from a FP x pipe, to a borla crossfire, now the borlas atak for the gt500. All were still quiet as a mouse on quiet mode. As long as you leave the carts on, do whatever you want post cat and use quiet mode.
If you want just a little more sound, go with any x or h pipe. If you want a...
Mine makes a similar noise occasionally not all the time, it seems lower, however, more from under the car, I dismissed it as the infamous BBQ tick, but I am new to the platform, I'll drive it till it blows.
Yes, different dynos on different days, but these are in my M1 Facebook group. The first is a 21, the second is a 22 both M6. One made more HP the other more TQ...I pulled my hydrocarbon filter, other than that I think it's smoke and mirrors.
It's nice to see the "dip" around 5500 is...
