  1. Poor quality passenger side floor trim - is this normal?

Hmm, I had an aftermarket sound system put in after I bought it. Could that explain it? They never told me they were going to do *that* to my door trim though!
  2. Poor quality passenger side floor trim - is this normal?

So, I noticed on the passenger side, right below the door, where the plastic meets the floor - there's this awful, ugly gap? Is everyone else's like this? The driver's side seems fine, however. I don't understand why that gap exists - other than for the floor mat to fit in. Yet, most other cars...
  3. Oz S550 spotted thread

Well, Sunbury Ford is out in the sticks, but just because the car was bought there doesn't necessarily mean that that's where the car/owner resides.

Saw my first 2018 on the road today
  5. Just found my car with both windows down! Criminal or not??

It's strange, because I've had the car a year and a half and never had this happen before once.
  6. Just found my car with both windows down! Criminal or not??

It's possible. I never knew of this function. I think that's the most likely explanation. Thanks.
  7. Just found my car with both windows down! Criminal or not??

I'm freaking out right now. Today I got home and found my car parked with both windows completely wound down!! I don't recall lowering them - I've certainly never done this before. The car was parked off the street out of view (but not in a locked place), but I can't remember if I had locked the...
  8. Mustang Migration to Oz

Is this thread dead or what?? Can someone post an updated migration table??

Fair enough, but at the same time, don't go making sweeping generalising statements like "most people think the standard plates look terrible". Speak for yourself, not others.
  10. Oz S550 spotted thread

What's wrong with the standard plates? I think they're fine - blue on white is completely inoffensive, unlike the ugly yellow NSW plates. And if most people thought standard plates were terrible, then why does almost every car on the road have them? In any case, I got the standard plates on...

Toorak Road, South Yarra. Built: December 15, 2016, 5.0L GT 6AT. First registered: April 5, 2017. Nice to see a Mustang with a standard normal-size Victorian plate for a change. So sick of all the black & white, slim-line, and custom plates.
  12. 2018 Mustang Price List (MSRP/Invoice): EB Starts at $25,585, GT at $35,095

Here in Australia 90% of buyers choose the GT. If you discontinued it, you'd basically kill the Mustang here. By the way, Australia is now the number 2 market in the world for the Mustang - even ahead of Canada (which has a much larger population).
  13. 2018 Mustang Price List (MSRP/Invoice): EB Starts at $25,585, GT at $35,095

In 1997, the Mustang GT was only $18,000. This is almost double the price in 20 years. That's crazy. By comparison, a Lexus ES has only gone up 28% in the past 20 years, and the Mercedes C-Class only 32%. I think Ford are just ripping off customers. I noticed that the F-150 is also 64% more...

  17. Dealer left swirl marks all over rear panel after warranty repair

The dealer has their own panel shop on site, so any kind of work like that is done by the shop. This is the same shop that caused the swirls in the first place!
  18. Dealer left swirl marks all over rear panel after warranty repair

    It's approx. $300 including postage.
  19. Dealer left swirl marks all over rear panel after warranty repair

A few months ago I took my car in to get some paint defects fixed under warranty. Part of this involved removing overspray on part of the boot lid, as well as the black plastic panel between the tail lights. When I got the car back, and got home, I noticed heavy swirl marks all over the black...
  20. Why isn't the Mustang sold in Israel?

Often car companies will import a car because of the image boost that it gives the brand, even if it doesn't necessarily make a profit. The Mustang is a great image booster for Ford, and should be sold everywhere. I'm also certain that they could sell a few hundred a year and still make a...
