Right... after lots of soul searching, i've bought the above wheels from Craig... should be collecting them this weekend! :sunglasses:
Yours looks like such a beast. The front splitter makes such a difference, whats it called?
I've always admired it since i first saw the below pic:
Yep, nice and moody in there... cant resist taking a few snaps. Sadly the car was filthy!
Cheers - yeah i've seen these. I do like them but i'm not completely in love. If they were a little cheaper i'd be interested but this is near the top of my budget for wheels so if i'm spending that...
Hey guys,
I've not really done much with my Mustang this year... I think i've only driven it about 1500 miles so I've decided to spend a little money on it to to reignite my interest...
Wheels - i'm looking for something concave, preferably 19" but would consider 20" and ideally second hand...
Mine lasted 4.5k before they hit the wear indicator on the rears. Wear was even.
The fronts had over half their life left when i swapped them at about 10k. This thread has just reminded me that i was going to put the fronts for sale on eBay as part worns but i completely forgot to get them...
Washing my car the other day i noticed some black paint flaking off from the inside and down the side of of one of the spokes. Its clearly not been damaged or impacted so its not my fault if that makes sense.
Would something like this be covered under warranty?
I paid for the extra alloy...
I had a professional detail on my drive today (full wash and machine polish). Also decided to remove my stripes as they weren't great quality (i fitted them myself as a proof of concept).
Still considering selling up as my hearts not in it, but might hold on to it for the rest of the year...
Came to start mine today and it was dead. 2018 car with 14k on the clock. It unlocked okay but refused to start, so i've got it on charge now. To be fair i've only driven it twice in the last 7 weeks. One decent run out about a month ago, and once about half a mile to the shop and back 10...
Same, i've got the plain black ABS versions which match the lips all round, not gloss, and they're spot on - perfect fit and build quality. Mine were £17.
How much life is left on the rears? I think mine only lasted 4500 miles from new before I nearly killed myself pulling onto a dual carriageway as they were worn out.
Definitely not the cheap ones - they were the genuine Treadwear version @ £70, but totally different to your style. Aside from the white letters getting dirty and impossible to clean, the edges of all letters became kind of shrunken and looked crappy...
I've had the stickers previously, and they look good for about 4-6 months at most, and when you peel them off they leave the sidewalls in a bit of a state. Ask me how i know!
I ordered a tyre paint pen for a couple of quid and filled in the letters on my tyres. It's taken about 2 hours so far, and i'm about half way through....
I doubt it'll last very well - probably come off if the pressure washer goes anywhere near it. I was thinking about sealing it somehow but...
Not sure what it is, but i spent a couple of hours yesterday with some polish and a microfibre and got about half the car cleared by hand... back to perfection now. :sunglasses:
