Where did you get the info regarding a break in period? Is this just something the dealer told you?

The document is dated from Jun 2015. A lot has changed since then, not sure how good this information is.

Are higher compression engines more prone to oil consumption? Because I do belive the GEN3 Coyote consumes a bit more oil than last Gen. So it is very important to make sure you keep your oil at 10 qts. I think that is when your "tick" will develop into a "slap" and begin to cause major engine...

My tick never sounded "mechanical" either. I couldn't figure out what it was, but it sounded more like a "fluttering sound". Cavatation actually makes a lot of sense! I believe it's caused by low oil level causing cavitation in pump, and radiating sound to the oil pan.

That actually makes sense. I have long suspected the "tick" had something to do with a low oil level. Because when I first developed the "tick" in my engine (about 500 miles) I checked the oil level, and discovered that I was 2 quarts low. It should have had 10 quarts for the Gen 3 coyotye...

I just want a nice clean, boosted build for the street. No track or drag racing.

Looking for feedback from owners of 2018+ cars that have installed a Whipple supercharger. How is the transmission holding up with the added power? How is it driving on the street? I am planning on adding boost in the near future and leaning towards Whipple because I want the instant torque...

I have 3.73 gears too. I just seem to never use 6th gear unless I am on the interstate, doing above 65 mph.

I typically do about 10 mph over the posted speed limit as well, but not on this highway. It's a speed trap.

Do you cruise in 5th gear or 6th gear when doing about 55-60 mph. I feel like the RMP are a bit too low to go to 6th gear, so I stay in 5th and keep the RPM's at about 2000-2200. I don't like my RPM's to drop below 1800 at all, does't feel right to me. Curious to see what others think is a good...
