I hope it all goes well with your setup. I thought I'd add a little more detail on the three OEM amplifier connectors mentioned earlier.
Apologies if the pics are a bit large but I wanted to give you a better view of the connectors.
When I ordered mine I accidentally got the vertical header...
Yep, I kept the crossovers in the system. Iām using them in Bi-amp configuration with 4 channels on the front stage, and two for a differential rear fill.
After I get a bit more confidence with the Helix platform I think Iāll make the front stage completely active, and just get a small amp for...
I hear you brother with regards to the 'Fake' FLAC recordings via bluetooth. I got a membership at 'Tidal' because I was assured that they had very high quality recordings that were much better than the typical broadcasting via bluetooth.
So I loaded them up, and played some tunes I knew well...
Amen brother. I had a go at doing my own frequency tuning and time alignment by ear (Helix P Six DSP) to get it in the ballpark. To get it 'perfect' I then got my whole system professionally time aligned and frequency response flattened. Well.... I've just reverted back to my 'by ear' setting as...
Excellent thread. Iām stealing some of your ideas for my own setup which Iām in the process of building. Iām in Australia so Iāve got the Eruo version of the 2018 Mustang PP1 GT with the Shaker system. Iām just about to see where the easiest way to feed a power cable is for our batteryās which...
Itās like a nanny thatās had a few drinks. Letās you get away with a few things but pushes you in the right direction when you go to get something out of the poison cabinet
Hmm.. maybe something else is at play...
Iām still leaning towards the PCV system interrupting the fuel mixture though, which is causing an error in the calculation of the ignition timing /air-fuel ratio that the PCM has calculated (at WOT) in particular times when the engine is under load.
My...
Yep, the 10 speed is nice. Takes a bit to get used to, but Iām loving it now.
I miss the manual when I want to chug along and over take without dropping a gear or 6, and itās taken a fair few Kms to get used to paddles.
In the manual, you know damn well which gear youāre going into, whereas if...
Not yet. Itāll be in the new year that I start the next mod run.
I want to know if the tune will be happy with an X pipe and a PMAS (no tune) intake. After that Iāll see how the car goes.
At the moment the car is running really well, and I like the fuel economy (see pic).
Just check clearance with the struts. After some harsh driving I noticed light contact on the left āFord Performanceā strut to the hood.
I put in a piece of 1/32ā adhesive padded tape and it worked to stop contacting and causing further damage (see circled section)
Iāve hit 10,000kms on my 2018, so I did a ghetto lab test To see how the oil cooler was doing (known issue in previous Coyote engines)
Link to the test on page 22 below:

Hey all there seems to be a bit of panick about this so Iāll share a ghetto check we use on older aviation engines if we suspect an oil based contaminant in water based liquids, before we go spending big dollars on outsourcing chemical lab tests to third parties.
Oil in coolant check:
What you...
