Depends on jurisdiction. Also depends on the plate solution you're trying to use. For example, certain states specify it must be in the center of the vehicle and a specific distance from ground or lowest piece of the vehicle. So even your plate bracket may be illegal. At the end of the day...

Forget a plate bracket. Use suction cups and mount it on the windshield. $5 at most. You can find them on Amazon.

Give it 5 days. You're likely to see some parts lose adhesion as well. Just press them back into the paint. Take it back in two weeks if you still have issues. They should have warrantied it.
