  1. Cheapest Way To 11s

To get into the 11's cheapest, def get the auto. Normally the stock clutch can hold the power of the stock turbo, but there's a few guys out there who are beating the crap out of the clutch and burning it up while trying to get a better launch at the track. Obviously it can't hold up to...
  2. Bowling Green ecoboost battle

Thanks for the updates, everyone. It sounds like there was some great racing out there! Congratz to UPR for taking home the win! I wish I could've made it but the West coast is very far away. Is there a summary of results posted anywhere?
  3. 3Bar F150 Map Sensor Not Plug and Play?

The EcoBoost Mustang already has a 3 bar Tmap sensor.
  4. FFTEC Borg Warner 7670 Install!

Just keep in mind that this was done on a low reading Mustang dyno. It's also a reliable street tune, plus the car runs on 91 octane with meth. If you use 93 octane with meth the numbers would be better.
  5. FFTEC Engine Build in Progress

Ed, give me a call at the shop tomorrow. I have one disc remaining in stock right now.
  6. FFTEC Engine Build in Progress

The 7670 sits right in between the 7163 and 8374 in both spoolup and overall power output. Users have reported seeing consistent spoolup around 3300rpm while holding full boost up to 6500+rpm on the street. IMHO it's the perfect street/DD choice. Works great on the road courses as well. Yes...
  7. FFTEC Engine Build in Progress

Thread is here; http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24929 We used 91 Octane Fuel blended with some 101 = ~95-96 Octane when we set the HP Record on our shop car with the EFR8374. The torque curve on those graphs will be the same for any type of fuel since the boost curve...
  8. FFTEC Engine Build in Progress

I'm looking forward to meeting you as well! The pic was posted in the Build thread for our shop car. Check out the thread here; http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12744&page=5 Also, you really should check out our Photo thread, you'll find news, projects, cool...
  9. FFTEC Engine Build in Progress

The engine build is complete and the engine is installed. I was hoping to start the engine a couple weeks ago but we've been busy! There were also a couple of side projects that delayed this project too. Sorry I haven't been on the forums much lately! I have a bunch of cool pics I want to...
  10. New EBM Horsepower World Record 6/10/15: 520HP/494TQ (STD), 508HP/482TQ (SAE)

Good question. That's venturing into uncharted territory. We haven't maxed out the 8374 on this platform yet. On other 4 cylinder platforms we've needed over 40psi to reach over the 700HP mark, depending on the type of dyno used. The dyno run of the 7163 was done at 26psi. I'm not sure if...
  11. New EBM Horsepower World Record 6/10/15: 520HP/494TQ (STD), 508HP/482TQ (SAE)

Thanks, those are good questions. Here's a couple of good pics of the custom exhaust on our shop car. The Yellow Lotus in the background of the first pic is one of my favorite track cars. It was tuned by us with an AEM EMS. It also has a Radium turbo kit with a few tweaks we...
  12. New EBM Horsepower World Record 6/10/15: 520HP/494TQ (STD), 508HP/482TQ (SAE)

We made our own. It's a full 3" after the downpipe, then splits into a gentle merge Y section into twin 2.5" mufflers. It flows really well. Fully TIG welded, backpurged, stainless construction, even has stainless reinforced heavy duty hangers. Each joint, weld and bend is full radius. I...
  13. FFTEC charge pipe with other Intercooler? MAP, Mishi, or UR

Looks good, You'll need to contact mike directly for sales, he will coordinate everything for you. [email protected] Thanks!
  14. FFTEC charge pipe with other Intercooler? MAP, Mishi, or UR

I think Mike is just playing it safe. The FFTec Intercooler pipe kit fits the stock location intercoolers and other brands as long as the other intercoolers are meant to fit with stock pipes. Yes, we really do have a great price on intercooler pipes. :) More info here...
  15. FFTEC Engine Build in Progress

I hear you. Back then a 4 cylinder engine making 175 to 200 hp was incredible. It was very advanced for the time, equiped with fuel injection and an intercooler. Even the XR4Ti just had a hot pipe. Here we are 30 years later with 310 HP from the factory. For comparison, the V8 in the 2004...
  16. FFTEC Engine Build in Progress

Hi Ed, That's a good question. Yes the limits and capabilities of this engine well known. The rods are the weak link. They tend to bend and break from making too much torque at low rpm. My recommendation for a reliable daily driver that is fed a strict diet of ordinary 91 octane is to keep...
  17. New EBM Horsepower World Record 6/10/15: 520HP/494TQ (STD), 508HP/482TQ (SAE)

Yes, we're installing a line lock on the car this week. We found the right fittings, lines and adapters for a clean installation. We also upgraded to stainless braided brake lines on the front. Since our last trip to the track we've added the 3.73 final drive, line lock, and a little more...
  18. Official 1/4 Mile Fast List & Leaderboards (I4 Ecoboost) - 2015+ Mustangs

I just noticed that you volunteered to keep the list up to date. Thanks for your service! I also noticed the formatting in the first post is a little odd. My time shows up correctly (thanks) but the other list is odd.
  19. Lund Has Ghost Cam For MUSTANG ECOBOOST!!!!!!

I talked with the guy at Ford Racing two weeks ago and confirmed the cams were scheduled to be released around the end of August. The lift and duration were very mild, I doubt it'll have any lope. see http://fordperformanceracingparts.com/parts/part_details.asp?PartKeyField=25307
  20. The Great BIG CAI Thread
