When you experience the difference between the bama tune and one from one of the more reputable tuners, chances are you won’t ever want to load a bama tune again anyway.
I have an SCT device that has some bama tunes on it. I no longer run a bama tune and have a tune from PBD. It runs better...
I’ll have a video up soon. Fitment was on point, when I asked my tech he did mention “yeah, that job was the epitome of a tight fit”. So it did challenge for sure. He does want me to stop by again in a week or so to look it over again to make sure everything is still perfect though.
The headers...
I could 100% understand why you added vibrants. Depending on who, one could even justify adding them to the sport. A co-worker wanted to hear it on cold start today, I warned him not to stand behind the car. He did, and wasn’t expecting what he got lol. It’s a mean cold start for sure. Super...
Hello.
Selling my previous exhaust, its an MBRP Street Cat-back Black mufflers & tips.
Replaced due to the 2.5" neck down. Needed a full 3". Has been on the car for
approx 18k miles. (Just realized how much I drove this car in the last year...)
Pics below, its in decent shape. It does have a...
Selling a Roush CAI for 2015-2017 GT
Was on the car for approx 5k miles.
Has everything needed to install.
Planning on FI in the near future, threw
the stock box back in for now until time
comes.
In great shape overall, just sat in the car
for a few K miles. Nothings happened to
it. It would...
So it happened a bit sooner than expected, its done though :like: I'll get a
sound clip up, it doesn't compare to in person though. Odd changes I did
not expect = Headers make you a more responsible car enthusiast.
Overall Impressions
Previous setup was an MBRP street catback. This setup is...
Went with Corsa. Fitment was perfect. Packaging was perfect. I did get a tune for them. Running fine so far.
FYI Any headers you combine with the Borla ATAK is going to be obscene loud. Similar to Extremes with Corsa. I’d plan on needing a different axle back or just get one with.
Not unless you’re running boost with a heat exchanger. IAT’s climb up over 160 with open element. (I’ve seen 189 with mine) and after swapping back to the OE box I rarely ever see over 10 above ambient unless just sitting there. Which still peaked at 139 while doing a rev data-log, still a...
That’s slightly better that my 17.6-17.8 NA. I should go FI. It’ll slowly pay for itself. Mine does have 3.73s though, also clearly driver mod effects this as well. That’s also 85% highway.
Correct me if wrong; only real concern with revving higher for most would be the comfort of having the OPG/CS upgrade. However if you’re not banging off the rev limiter isn’t it not really a concern? How high can we safely rev these motors w/o worrying about the OPGs or valve float? Again...
Preference.
Mostly it’s the fact that first gear is incredibly short NA. FI, I’d imagine it’s about useless. Possible solution= start in 2nd if you intend on sending it? It’s not like you wouldn’t slip the clutch some starting in 1st for traction anyway. More expensive solutions = Tremec swap...
Do you have a lower temp thermostat? Along with a tune to turn the fans on earlier? Might be all that’s needed if you don’t. Either way, your IATs look better than mine NA. CHT is about the same. If you already do, all things considered it’s still not bad.
In the same boat. I get it. Initially (before I had done a bunch of reading here) I had a set of sportlines sitting waiting to be installed.
Fast forward 3 months, now I have a set of Ford racing track shocks/ along with a bunch of Steeda and BMR components waiting to get installed.
Just...
It’s any CAI I’m sure. At cruise I’m seeing 4-6 degree over ambient. Once it’s at a stop, she climbs. The problem personally isn’t while driving or even when at idle, it’s when you stop by a gas station for example after a 15+ min drive and shut the car off. When you restart and IAT is above...
