Rant? Lol
Well you spent countless hours and couldn't do it...which obviously highlights your poor skills.
Anyways just wait and see and don't be a dick
You seem to have skipped the first page of this thread....when shit gets done and working then nobody cares or even appreciate it otherwise we see people whining just like yourself....smh, and after all when I post the other tutorial, you and people like you will just look at and say "it ain't...
You need to program your APIM to match your transmission (AT or MT)
Best way to do it is to get a VIN which matches your car specs and flash the whole APIM asbuilt
I just spent the last 2 hours trying to get the GT350 firmware drive modes and steering feel to work on the non-GT350 bezel....but no luck - however I could get rid of the icons but that doesn't help.
The issue is that the newly flashed GT350 firmware is looking for messages from the steering...
The speedometer is accurate etc. I didn't play much with the ABD after flashing the GT350 firmware....I'll try later to see if I can get rid of the exhaust and driving modes of the GT350 but it's unlikely as the firmware has them by default
Was playing with the my new UCDS tool and I got the GT350 digital speedometer working on my V6 haha
The deal breaker is that doing this will add ALL the GT350 features (including exhaust mode) which won't work on non-GT350
The blue.in the second pic is what you need to replace.
Here's one on eBay: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F172933260940
The part numbers are identical across all the trims but I guess there's a firmware difference, I tried changing only the module but it didn't work so you MUST change both
First of all MERRY XMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR!
So I finally got some time to work on my car and enable the line lock!
The hard way
Things you'll need
