Guys this is a billet compressor wheel, triple ball bearing unit with a 18 month warranty.
The new Cavalli cast exhaust housing with larger AR is going to help with the top end. We are on the stock exhaust housing right now so it limits us above 6000. My shop car is making 340 flat line on...
The catch can on our shop car is between the valve cover and turbo inlet. A catch can between the PVC and the intake is not relieving pressure but catching oil. On my shop car once we started pushing it hard it needed more venting. I am giving free info to help. Maybe that is my problem I...
Guys I wanted to add to this thread. As we have been pushing the shop car harder we have seen issues with the PVC system larger than the blue smoke at idle. I originally thought it was more of a pvc issue, but I do not believe it is now.
The problem is actually how the valve cover is...
The price point on the turbo is $2199. It will include a Turbosmart actuator, Billet compressor wheel, triple ball bearing, and a 18 month warranty. The turbo bolts on to any stock turbo location parts: Exhaust, intake, charge pipes, etc. We will have a kit built around the Cavalli turbo and...
One of the reasons I have not been on here as much is that we were working on another car with Cavalli turbos. Also a 55/56 on a 2014 GTR where we were able to make 686 on 17 psi. I know its not a Ecoboost mustang but it does have to do with Cavalli turbos so Enjoy the pics.
No it did not die. We have been extremely busy the past few weeks and are testing the turbo. Our car has made 395 trq and 340 hp on 91 octane from Oklahoma which is comparable to Cali 91. These numbers are early I am working directly with Chris at Cavalli to make a few changes to the turbo...
Also wanted to let everyone know that these are prototypes and not final product pics. Cavalli is making there own housings for this turbo and with that they are making a 3 inch inlet on the compressor.
I am excited about this one because we will see stock like spool. So no lag til 4000...
Well, lets get this back on track about the Cavalli Turbo. The one for my car is here and we should be testing it by next Monday. Sorry for the delay but we are backed up this week.
More than likely due to throttle closure for the loss of power. When the EB sees too much boost it will close throttle to control it. Depending upon how much the throttle closes can determine if there is a hp loss.
My reasoning for this is the increase in torque. There is only one way to...
I see your Oklahoma re-rx7, so am I. Moore to be exact. Feel free to stop by and I'll show you what gains I have seen testing multiple intakes.
The stock airbox is a restriction. The intake tube is actually a very good design. I have verified this on my own car. I did so by removing the...
I would say 380/300 is a safe limit from what I have seen. Especially if it is someones daily driver. Will you get away with 400 or 420, probably. Is it worth the risk for someone to daily drive? Not in my book.
My E Tune will support stock to bolt-ons and you will receive calibrations as needed with your car and the additional mods. The only additional mod that is currently not covered in our etune is an upgraded turbo. As you update your modifications I am happy to provide additional tunes...
Several companies are offering tunes that will produce high 12's low 13's, myself included. The key is which features you would like with a tuner and customer service from the vendor.
I choose to tune and sell Cobb as they have more features and flexibility than any other offering I have seen.
Joe,
Thank you and a very nicely worded post.
When I made the first post of this thread I did so in less than 20 min after happening, and I should have waited a little longer and collected more data. I did so as I felt people needed to know our experience to know how far they can go as...
