That's good. I'm glad that you didn't see a low oil pressure warning message! And I do think that the rep is inexperienced as there is no OBD code for low oil level. I would recommend that you inquire about what code caused the CEL.
OP - can you be very specific about what light/warning you observed?? Did you have a Check Engine light or a Low Oil Pressure Indication? This is kind of a big deal... and so far in this thread it is VERY confusing on what you saw and therefore difficult to advise.
If it was a check engine...
We are members at Spring Mountain Motorsports so we do spend time at the track when not racing in NASA. Hopefully in the not too distant future we'll have an occasion to get our GT350R friend out to the track with us and we can record some brake temps across sessions.
Off to 25 Hours of...
Even when it comes to the GT350/350R, I would still argue that every little bit counts. By track car standards, the GT350/R is massively heavy and the heat generated from slowing the beast is enormous. Are *most* owners going to notice any difference... or, stated differently, is there...
Voodooo/others,
No harm no foul! On one hand, I'm really awkwardly happy with the little bit of push-back as I would like to see a LOT more of these challenges on products. As I said before, the genesis of this offering was born out of our surprise to learn that this part hadn't been...
I too have seen my fair share of snake oil products and it is absolutely mind boggling to see how unsuspecting folks can eat this stuff up. I would venture to say that the VAST majority of cold-air-intake kits, as an example, are just complete garbage. Exacerbating this problem is that fact...
We typically are only developing products for cars that we have. LOL, we are probably too slow to do something with a "borrowed" car. I did, however look briefly at the transmission of the tech pack cars. I think the challenge is the physical proximity of the drain plug to the fill plug. So...
Even the GT350/R's little German cousin, the Focus RS employs air deflectors on the lower control arm to re-direct air onto the rotor/caliper. Sorry for the bad pics, but here's a couple of pics of the Focus RS setup. The first shot is from behind the deflector with the camera aiming forward...
Yes.
Regarding the differences between the two roll bar kits. Most taller drivers are likel to have the seat reclined a notch or two more than they might for the street in order to get headliner clearance with a helmet on. This is the primary reason that we believe that kicking the harness...
The wheel well pictured is a GT350R which should be identical to a GT350 in this area. The lower arm is the OEM arm with the GT PP plastic shield mounted to it. The ONLY difference between the GT350/R lower arm and the GT PP lower arm is that the PP's arm has these same holes tapped and it...
Ford did *most* of the job right on the GT350/350R, picking up air with dedicated brake ducts in the front bumper and then channeling that air back through the substructure and to the inside front of the wheel well opening. Kudos! But, as is, the ingested air through this ducting simply blows...
Not at all. I didn't buy a GT350 or GT350R but I did get an RS at MSRP. I guess my only point is that with the GT program, Ford is demonstrating that they can, in fact, "enforce" their MSRP. Admittedly a MUCH smaller set of buyers and therefore more manageable but if they can do it with the...
As far as turning, most of the force will be upward on the bracket once the seat is slid back into a normal position. There will be some rotational force but if they are secured properly any movement would be mitigated.
As far as anti-submarine belting, you really have two choices. The first...
Admittedly I chose the thread title to be a little provocative.... in retrospect maybe too much so given the range of responses. Probably it is too late to steer this thread differently, but maybe the real question is if you think Ford should control MSRP on FUTURE Ford Performance vehicles -...
Selling dealerships and Servicing dealerships are two different things. Almost any dealership can be a selling dealership - but Servicing dealership DO have a lot of costs, etc.
Did you read the original Post? The GT is also a car just like the GT350/GT350R, etc... and dealers would LOVE to have an ADM..... but it ain't gonna happen!
How many times have GT350, GT350R, Focus RS, and Raptor prospective buyers been told that Ford cannot control the prices set by dealerships? Allegedly contractual relationships between Ford Corporate and dealerships expressly forbid Ford from meddling in pricing issues. Really?
OK, so tell...
