I'll post a pic of my seat when I figure out how to do it.I will tell you this, the flat part of the seat looks fine,it's the side bolsters of the seat that are loose.
I've posted about the clank in my car.The driveshaft was replace last week and they greased some things. The noise came back about 100 miles later.I have 3:55 gears, and I was wondering how many people with 3:55 gears are having this same problem.
They said they couldn't duplicate the left side windnoise.I'm not going to push at this time.
As far as the seat, they replaced the bottom cover and it was worse. They are going to have their upholstery guy fix it.The driveshaft that was replace this week didn't fix the clank.I'm more concerned...
I have loose material on the passenger seat also.Dealer replaced bottom seat cover and it was worse. They want me see if it stretches before they try another fix.I guess made the mistake of thinking they should be as nice as the seats in my Infiniti g35.
The service manager also said something about replacing a bolt on the flange as well.If that does'nt do it,they will have to try something else until it's fixed I guess.
Between the trans clank, wrinkled passenger seat, cooled seat problem, and drivers side wind noise, it's kind of taken the fun out of a new car.I've bought a new 91 5.0 and a new 01 Cobra that had zero problems. The problems on my 15 are inexcusable.
I've got another appt. For the trans metal clank this Fri.The service manager called te Ford hotline, and they told her to see if any Mustangs on the lot made the noise, I guess so Ford could say it was NORMAL.Since this dealer only sells Lincolns, there weren't any Mustangs. The service manager...
My car was built the last week of March.I couldn't find any holes, and I'm supposed to take it in and have a tech go with me to try to locate the noise. It seems it's coming from the triangle piece in the corner of the door.
Yes, I believe they are all the same transmission. Mine makes the metal clank when I shift to drive and every shift you mentioned. However, I aways have my foot on the brake, and it still clanks.I was at the dealer last week and the service manager was waiting for the ford hotline to call her...
I'm taking mine in tomorrow for the same problem. There are about 85 other cars on this forum with the same problem.Haven't heard anything from Ford concerning a fix .
No, I don't notice any jerking like you described, just avery noticeable metal clank putting it in drive and reverse. It's going into the shop next week, but it sounds like Ford hasn't got a fix yet.
