Ok. Here are my dyno results. I am not quite sure what to think now? Maybe some of you experienced tuners can give some feedback. I don't see how I dyno'd almost the same exact numbers with the BAMA tune & Airaid CAI as I did with just the Airaid CAI. I can definitely feel a big difference when...
I can't take this anymore lol. I'm gonna dyno today at Madtunes Racing. The tuner is suggesting to dyno in 4th great for a 1 to 1 ratio. I thought I read that somewhere that 5th should be the gear you want to dyno this car in (PP with 3.73 gears).
I really can't see how the stock intake flows as much as the airaid. The cars characteristics defintely changed for the good. I am going to pull my airaid CAI off and see if it came with the insert installed. Maybe its not?
You don't need a lot of mechanical experience to perform this job. You will need a car jack, 2 jack stands, & a few sockets (electric impact from Lowe's works great). Just remember on the front suspension, the 2 lower strut bolts have splines. So loosen the nut and not the stud (bolt). The...
I bought my set up from American Muscle about 2 months ago. I've put about 1300 miles on the car since the mods. I probably won't dyno unless I do FI. I'm very pleased with my set up for now.
I didn't dyno. But I pick up huge gains with the airaid and Bama 93 track tune. I did drive the car some with the airaid only and it bogged bad in mid range. So for that reason, I would suggest a tune as well. I don't know if they flow as much air as a JLT or Steeda. But they definitely...
Installed the Steeda sport springs today. Big handling improvement. Hardly any body roll now. The suspension "bounce" is a lot better as well. Not to stiff at all. The install was very easy. Probably the most cost effective mod I've done so far. The pics are pretty crappy though.
I averaged 23 mpg over a one hour drive on the interstate doing ~75 mph the other day. I can't keep my foot out of the floor board long enough to keep my mpg up though. To much fun with the mods.
I haven't dyno'd my car. The 93 octane track tune from BAMA seems to be spot on. From what I've been reading from everybody else, I should be at about 480hp at the crank. It definitely made a big difference over stock power. The biggest problem now is its hard to get first and second to hook...
I guess I'll have to consider some LT headers then. What about a new throttle body? There should also be some aftermarket upper intakes hitting the market pretty soon?
I'm trying to avoid headers because I'm very happy with the exhuast note I have right now (with no drone). Removing the cats and adding LT headers will make it quit a bit louder I believe right? I'm not sure how that would affect drone.
I don't have any plans on putting my car on a dyno as long as it is running right. Therefore, my goal is get up to ~500 at the crank. There is enough info on this and other sights to tell me about where my car will be. I appreciate the feedback on the mods though.
I am considering adding these two bolt on's to my set up. How much of a difference do you think these two mods will make? Has anyone had any issues with the electrical system after adding the underdrive pulleys like the headlights being dim when at idle RPM? I had noticed this on a previous...
