When I get my new mustang in 2016 it will be my daily driver. I won't need any extra performance stuff. I will take it to the drag strip just to see if I can run 12's but that will be it. I won't be racing it so I won't need the bigger brakes and wheels. When it gets paid off I will have had 5...
I won't be getting the PP with my GT for a couple of reasons. The cost of the package. The wheels are decided for you. The wheels are staggered so I wouldn't be able to rotate the tires. The tires would cost more than I am willing to spend. This will be my new daily driver so whatever I can do...
I don't mind the 3.73's I have them in my Lightning and the weight and transmission difference will guarantee a big fuel savings for me. The reason I don't like the performance pack is the staggered wheels. I want 4 wheels the same size. Another problem I have is with the price of the tires. I...
+1 on aluminum being strong enough. I work in a body shop and deal with aluminum all of the time. It is more difficult to straighten a dent in aluminum and our stud guns can't weld to it. But for the most part the only difference is in the weight and the $$$. We are going to see a big increase...
I am just glad that it will weigh less than my Lightning and have all of the creature comforts I have been living without. Heated/cooled seats, nav, back up camera w/sensors, 2 extra seats, IRS... It may have less hp but the gas will be way cheaper.
I get that people are waiting to order. Ford should have released the numbers when they released the prices. I can understand people being mad about that. I can get people being mad at Steeda about blabbing. It is just those people who are threatening to cancel their order over this. They knew...
First off this is just what Steeda is saying. We still don't know how much it really weighs. Second without the hp and tq numbers weight means nothing. Third if you aren't going to take it to the drag strip and get r/t 60' and 1/8th or 1/4 mile times. Or if you aren't going to race it on a road...
Well my wife had an 07 gt with leather seats and traded it in on a new 2011 Taurus SEL with leather seats. Only thing is the difference in the quality of the leather. Her newer seats are noticeably better, softer, nicer.
Sorry no to what? No there are not another american made cars with flat plane crankshafts. No ford wouldn't develop and test an engine over here that wouldn't be used over here. Or no that is not a flat plane engine.
A FPC v8 in a US made car would be cool. Nobody else is offering one correct. Just Italian and Euro made cars right? If so is there a chance we won't get it. I don't know where Ford does their engine r&d but is there a chance they are building it and testing it here knowing it is meant for the...
I have had my Lightning for 8 years and it is my daily driver. I have filled up the silencer holes under the blower which made the whine about 30% louder. I won't be getting a new Mustang until Summer 2016 but I am sure I am going to miss the whine. I might have to get a blower for my 3rd...
OK I could have swore I read somewhere here that if you got the GT performance package the spoiler was automatically deleted. But I have gone back over the order sheets and there are options that make you keep the spoiler. Like the automatic tranny, or 18" wheels. And it says the spoiler delete...
I have never had anything other than a v8. I don't know what the eb4 offers torque wise. If it surprised me I would consider it. I like the fact that it is already running a turbo and can be modded. Instead of the v8 that I would have to put a power adder on when I got ready to make it faster. I...
