Just about every time someone checks out my car they comment on the manual transmission, and in good way.
Especially the younger guys. Itās like theyāre seeing a unicorn.
Here are few pics I took today. I made a point to stop at some of the scenic over looks. I usually donāt stop, because I see it all the time.
Blackwater state park.
US 48 where it drops off the mountain at Mt. Storm.
German Valley on US33 between Judy Gap and Franklin.
I wouldnāt be surprised if big gov bans manuals in the near future because of fuel economy. The way I drive, Iām lucky to get 10mpg because I donāt give a crap about fuel economy.
Sport.
Every time, all the time.
If Iām on a long road trip, all highway, I sometimes put it in normal just soften the shocks. I still put the exhaust in sport.
Iāve noticed that the cold start bark isnāt as loud if I drove it the previous day. After a week of sitting in the garage, it definitely has a louder bark on start up.
Should be even louder once I replace the factory x pipe and resonators.
If itās an option, itās definitely worth getting. I have mine set at 8000, and itās nice not having to look down at the tach. I use mine in the mode were the lights come together in the middle and the line blinks at the set shift point, so I have plenty of warning before I reach the shift point.
I got around 7400 miles out of mine. No burn outs or tracking. The fronts were worse than the backs. Best thing I ever did to my car was switch to a set of super sports. Smoother and quieter ride. No tram lining.
Get off the highways in WV and just about all the roads are fun to drive. But the best and most scenic ones are in the eastern part of the state. The counties near or bordering VA.
A huge cookout with family and friends. There will be over 100 people, tons of food and drinks. Weāll have a corn hole tournament with a few hundred dollars on the line, and fireworks.
B&O sucks. The base model stereo in my 17 F150 work truck sounds as good if not better. Itās even worse when compared to the Alpine in my 16 Ram. However, I donāt plan on any upgrades. I usually have it turned down so I can listen to that beautiful sound coming from the voodoo.
My biggest complaint with all modern vehicles are the nannies. I have nearly 30 years of driving experience. Most of which was on vehicles with few if any nannies. I donāt need that crap. Especially traction control.
