I have seen a total of 1 here where I live. They just don't sell. I don't even think the local dealer had more than 3 s550's for the 15 model year. Now super duty's they have at least 3 in every possible combination you could ever want. But hey that's north Idaho for ya.
You have paid 19k for a year, if you trade now you might as well sell off your car and just rent a mustang from enterprise. It would probably be cheaper than $19k a year. And then you could have a new color car every week if you want. And you wouldn't even need to wash it.
I would prefer more of a sleeper look. (Well as much as a brand new mustang can) over the flashy GT350. The ability to blend in as a base model rental car mustang, that can beat up on just about anything you may encounter on the track. Vs a car that everyone looks at and draws so much attention...
I guess if you live in an apartment in the city you would not get the use of a truck. I live in rural northern Idaho. I'm always hauling something. Be it a new tv, a load of trash, or fence posts. When I had my own fab shop I hauled 1000's of pounds of steel. I spend time camping, and enjoying...
I have 3 daughters, and a wife. We wouldn't fit in the S550. Factor in our little 75 pound German shepherd and it's impossible. But that's what my truck and Honda are for. The S550 will be my drive to work/play toy. As it wil get better fuel economy than my big ol ram. I honestly don't think I...
I couldn't part with a truck for the S550. Nor could I swap my 08 accord family sedan for one. My wife needs the accord, and I need a truck too often to get rid of it. But we have no payments, so buying the S550 as a play car is easy enough. If I could just get work to hurry up and give me my...
I'm shocked it took until page 15 for the hellcat to even be mentioned.
Coming from a diehard mopar background, I love the S550. It's a much nicer car than the charger/challenger platform. My only experience in the S550 is via a two week rental of a V6 convertible rental car. And I am hooked...
So on the car in KS, couldn't you negotiat that they replace the bumper cover, after you make a deal? Seems that there is probably another DIB car on the lot they could swap bumper covers with. Or better yet, get them to pay for one that you could pick up locally. Then you could swap it yourself...
So I'm looking at a possible job in Pittsburg, and was hoping to find someone close to the area that may have some insight to the area. Being that I have never been to this part of the country I have no idea what towns may be close so forgive me if someone already started a thread for a town...
Not since I left the army. It was nice though, I used to do many many things there. Rebuilt my first trans in a shop just like this. Surprisingly the rebuild was a success, but auto transmissions are a pain in the tail to work on. I really miss that old Malibu. The thing loved nitrous. I loved...
Ideally I would love to find something like I have here. My 45x65 shop has 25ft ceilings, and could accommodate at least 5-6 cars and they all could be worked on at once. Add in my 30x30 and you could work on two more.
A 2 post and 4 post would be great. That way the 4 post could be used if...
I would be happy with a barn. Something that could be converted to a nice shop overtime. But like I said, a 2 car garage is really enough for most things. I have done a lot in a small garage. You just gotta get creative.
Thanks for the info guys. I'm not looking for a large place, or a large shop. I have been able to do plenty in a small 2 car garage. So a large shop is not a requirement. But a 2 car garage is at the minimum.
I'll look at the places you guys suggest. Unfortunately I will be dealing with rush...
To answer nicks question. Yes schools matter, I have three daughters (one middle school the other two are in elementary) I would really like to live outside of the city. Preferably something with some land and some sort of large garage/shop. I doubt I'll find anything like what I have now, ( I...
I can't wait to join you guys. I'm hopping to move to the Nashville area about January, and should be buying a car shortly after arriving. It's nice to know there are a few guys around for when I am ready.
On that note if anyone has any tips on places to avoid and places to look for a house to...
