  1. Of headers, E85, & emissions

Tell me about it, swapping injectors and removing a supercharger gets kind of old, specially in a cold ass garage.
  2. Of headers, E85, & emissions

I have a tune that makes all the monitors N/A (greyed out) and I passed the test. The following year they failed me because my monitors weren’t matching what their books said they were supposed to be. This year I was going to bite the bullet and go with Lund having seen a couple guys had luck...
  3. Stoopid Cheap Mustang GTs Below Dealer Invoice!

I don’t go to YT clickbaits either. Wasted too many moments watching worthless videos to give any of them a chance anymore. So what’s the sure fire way to get the dealer invoice amount for a car on a lot? Anyone care to spell it out for me?
  4. Well.. I did a huge wheelie with a 10r80

Lol, sounds a lot like my car but twice the power mod. I hate it when I see guys telling other guys they better get their suspension dialed in before adding FI. All I have on mine is the BMR cradle lockout as well. Awesome car you have there for sure.
  5. How much faster does a supercharged feel

Once you go FI you never want N/A again. I have had to remove my blower and it makes the car feel pitiful. I’ve already told myself no way I’ll keep the car if I don’t have the extra power.
  6. Removing Fuel Pressure tricks?

So it seems like when I disconnect my fuel rail its either a bunch of fuel sprays out or not much comes out. Anyone find a good method for this, to purge the most of the fuel every time? I always unplug the fuel pump connector under the rear seat and then start the car until it dies then 2...
  7. Cold Flood engine start mode (eg. Mopar)

You have me wondering if this would be a good alternative to inputting the fuel pump connector when removing the injectors. Anyone done this? Does it drain the pressure as much as unplugging the fuel pump?
  8. Wheel Well Retainers

Figure I'd bump this old thread in case anyone is interested. I've been digging around for the plastic rivets and their p/ns. Pretty sure I found these half useless ones in the front wheel liners. I haven't bought them myself, so buy at own risk but they pretty much look identical and are...
  9. Emissions readiness monitor NOT set

I was able to pass the first year probably because the tech doing the test wasn’t paying attn. Last year I failed with same tune on the X4. never had them go green with either X4 or nGauge tunes.
  10. Emissions readiness monitor NOT set

Yeah, tell me about it, not looking forward to removing mine again, although it’s not all that bad, but still sucks having to do this every year. I don’t think the OP ever got his to pass, said his state allowed a waiver, mine doesn’t so that sucks. I have factory cats installed, thought that...
  11. Emissions readiness monitor NOT set

Been battling this for a 2 years now. No solution other than to pull the blower off the car and it will pass all the monitors within 100 (probably less actually) miles of driving. I’ve put over 5000 miles on 3 different revision emissions tunes and the O2 and HO2 monitors will never turn green...
  12. Bad time of year for tuning?

I installed my supercharger in the winter and datalogging and tuning probably went from a week long ordeal to a couple of months. They would send a tune and I’d have to wait a few days to a week for snow to dry off the roads. Then I’d log, and send it, receive a new rev and bad luck would make...
  13. Tuned or not?

One thing that hasn’t been mentioned is that you will probably want to get your hands on the factory tune. Most tuners ask for that as a baseline for the custom tune they write. Also most of the time in between tune revisions or for troubleshooting it is common place to reinstall the factory...
  14. Retune Needed right away?

That is good to hear. I hate to ask the same question, but are you sure both the O2 and HO2 monitors are passing? I didn’t think the defoulers would make those two monitors happy. In any case thanks for giving me hope.
  15. Question for guys who actually have the the Roush Kit

I would think if it’s a corrupted tune file the car wouldn’t even run. Now if it’s a bad tune it would run but have bad behavior. In my mind a bad tune is something that has incorrect settings and/or values in the tables and a corrupt tune is something wrong with the file not associated with...
  16. Is that....surface rust around my trunk?

Same here. I’m not sure I’d use it in something that is painted white though. In my experience it doesn’t dissolve rust, it turns it black and rock hard.
  17. 1000hp to 2000hp Forged Shortblocks for 2015-2019 - build yours online here

It’s the fastest way a non participant can participate without really participating.
  18. Idea, a 4 Door Mustang.

Hell no! It would ruin the Mustang thing the same way the 4 door Jeep ruined the Jeep thing. Every suburbanite and soccer mom would be driving one.
  19. Trunk Pull Down Strap

I installed a strap a couple of years ago and haven’t had to touch the deck or trunk since then. Probably open/close the trunk at least once a week as it’s my DD and grocery getter. Just use a quick motion and pull hand out just before it closes and breaks bones.
