  1. Amp, Sub and Dynamat Install (Long post/heavy-pic warning)

https://store.audiodesignscg.com/product/2015-2017-mustang-subwoofer-box/ I just installed this box, works and fits great! Used the factory sub bolt holes (had to drill them) and it doesn't move an inch! (factory threaded holes exist on all cars).
  2. Official Tesla-Style Head Unit

I can guarantee the audio is NOT only coming out of the front speakers. I have my LOC on my rear speakers and have plenty of bass.
  3. Official Tesla-Style Head Unit

The stock unit has to have a hub, if only 1 plug is going to the HU then there is a hub in the system somewhere, likely in the dash near the HU and it likely has the same cables as the stock unit plugged into it.
  4. Official Tesla-Style Head Unit

Shouldn't matter where they terminate, that 1 cable should be fine to plug in and then it should activate both ports.
  5. Official Tesla-Style Head Unit

We need someone with a premium to do some testing, the cables are just mini USB, there has to be a hub somewhere to run 2 ports off 1 cable. This really shouldn't be that hard, find a super small usb mini cable that can fit the stock cable, then have that convert to a usb male to fit into the...
  6. Dash Cam Won't Stick to Windshield Anymore

You should put this on shapeways or post the CAD! (unless you wish to market it)
  7. Amp, Sub and Dynamat Install (Long post/heavy-pic warning)

I have 0 dynamat in mine and only have a bit of a rattle if I hit the wrong frequency, seems ford did a pretty good job building the trunk area for a single sub.
  8. subs go off opening the doors

To make sure I understand, you sub starts to go WUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUB when you turn off the car completely correct? This is what happens when your sub is still on and connected to a LOC and doesn't turn off when the rest of your stereo does. I...
  9. Amp, Sub and Dynamat Install (Long post/heavy-pic warning)

Just finished my install, FYI for a clean look on the LOC and no need to cut the factory harness apart you can just solder to the terminals on the speakers. For anyone that wants to run a remote gain control, you do have to take out the kick panels and side runner but that is it. You can tuck...
  10. Official Tesla-Style Head Unit

I wasn't able to find a flat patch antenna unfortunately.
  11. Official Tesla-Style Head Unit

I am, but I also ran RCA's so I can add those later if possible. I really hate cutting wires.
  12. Official Tesla-Style Head Unit

Do we have a wiring pin out for the main speaker harness? I wonder if I can tap those wires and run them back.
  13. Official Tesla-Style Head Unit

I am just wondering if the I-5 unit comes with more cables. this thing HAS to have an RCA out... what idiot would design one without it. I am sure its one of the unused pinouts.
  14. Official Tesla-Style Head Unit

Nothing that made it past my low pass filter. I am interested though, why do we have a sub woofer slider if there is no outputs for a sub! I really wish someone could pick up an I-5 unit to see what comes in their box.
  15. Official Tesla-Style Head Unit

Okay, testing complete, absolutely no low level output on this unit for a sub unless we have something we can pull out of the extra pins.
  16. Official Tesla-Style Head Unit

If only one cable is going into the main unit that means there is a USB hub somewhere which means if you just plug in 1 cable it should allow for two ports to work.
  17. Official Tesla-Style Head Unit

easy way to test that is to use an app that boots to recovery mode.
  18. Official Tesla-Style Head Unit

Anyone else having issues after the DST change? I had to manually set my time.
  19. Official Tesla-Style Head Unit

Downgrade it? Has anyone actually tried that successfully? I don't feel like attempting to brick it.
