  1. 2017 Mustang Orders Placed Thread (Vote/Share Here)

There are still lots of 2016's out on lots across the country. You may luck out and find the car you want is already built. Sadly ford's online search tool is quite limited. You'll probably have to take your config to a dealer and have them search. But be prepared for them to come back with...
  2. 2017 Mustang Orders Placed Thread (Vote/Share Here)

Usually I'm the same way. I want to see it in person first. But I thought back and while I have my favorites, there hasn't been a blue on a Mustang I didn't like. So I ordered. Beyond the exterior color, nothing is different from the 15's I test drove.

In poor weather, like rain or snow, the camera can quickly become obscured so the sensors are nice to have in those occasions. Also the screen highlights where it is sensing something so for times when the camera isn't working well (bright sun, very dark) it can draw your attention to something...
  4. Navigation Sucks

If it's a temporarily closed road or ramp due to construction I don't think there's any way to enter that into the system. If it's a permanent closure, sadly the only option is a new maps SD which runs $150 if I recall correctly. In the previous Sync navigation, you could hit the voice button...
  5. lock/unlock alarm 'beep' sound?

If you push the lock button twice and it double honks that means something isn't closed.
  6. Automatic High Beams

I've been reading everything I can about the Mustang since it was updated for 2015 and I've never seen auto high beams mentioned as an option.
  7. Unlock Passenger Door

The lines on the handle are to lock the car. The sensor to unlock is behind the handle. Pressing both is not necessary and may cause the car to not unlock at all. These sensors only matter if you have the key less than 3 feet from the door and it will only activate the sensors on that side...
  8. Rear view mirror sensor ???

It is the sensor for the auto dimming mirror. One of two sensors; the other is on the mirror side. It compares the difference in light "seen" by both sensors to determine how much to dim the mirror. Page 79 of the manual: Auto-Dimming Mirror Note: Do not block the sensors on the front and...
  9. Another X-plan question

I thought the advertising fee maxed at $100 for X Plan.
  10. Apple CarPlay

It's coming soon. Last I heard Ford was hoping for end of 2016 to release it. I think you might have Siri in your car though. Try connecting via USB and long pressing the voice button.
  11. 2017 Order bank open

It's a bit of a leap for me to order it without seeing it on a Mustang first. But there really hasn't been a blue I haven't liked on the Mustang. Plus, our Explorer is DIB and I didn't want matching cars. I considered Grabber but I just couldn't get over not having metallic paint.

  14. Got hit while backing out :(

Yeah, there are a lot of false alarms in our Explorer. Though there are few false negatives. In other words, while it alarms fairly often for no apparent reason, it is very rare for it to fail to alarm when a car is coming. So I would say that I give it only a fair rating I've found that in...
  15. 2017 Mustang Order Guide

It is odd that it doesn't mention Car Play or Android auto, but I'm not surprised no mention of LTE. I haven't heard anything about it being in anything other than the 2017 Escape. (At least not from a reputable source that wasn't just hoping and praying it would be included). That said, I...
  16. Got hit while backing out :(

Hey OP, do you have BLIS? That is what gives you the cross traffic alert and doesn't effect the look of the car. The visible circles on the back bumper are just backup sensors and only work under 3 MPH. They also have a very limited range of just a few feet. 2 completely different systems.
  17. 2017 Mustang Order Guide

The 2016's already have Sync3 so I think it's safe to assume the 2017's will keep that.
  18. Buying new Mustang Help

The only thing that's been announced for changed to the 17's are different exterior colors. There's not going to be any more HP and the Android Auto/Apple car play that the 17's will come with, will be available as a free upgrade to the 16's. I say go with the 16. If you want an idea on...
  19. Night time. Unlock. Re-lock. Sync 3 display stays on

Considering Sync 3 is designed to download updates when you are parked at home, my guess would be that its just checking for updates. Like others have said, leave it and see if it goes away on its own.
  20. 2016 GT ordered

 It's all good. Just a pet peeve that started with the 05's. Usually I just let it go, but I was feeling mischievous today.
