Welcome Resto.
I've got mine coming through Metro as well (been dealing with Dan). After speaking to him on Monday, by reading this forum, I've got a lot more info on my own car and the entire process than what the dealers do through Ford! Your best bet is to contact Deysha on here, but she can...
Just a follow up for anyone looking to get larger parts from the US. I used USATOAUS.com for a set of wheels and was very happy with the whole process. Took about 9 weeks from ordering to getting them, but with the huge price difference ($1150 vs $285), it was worth the wait.
Was emailed when...
Track and trace just shows the unloading port for the car doesn't it? The schedule for the ship will be right, it will stop in Bris and Pt Kembla before Melbourne, but based on the deliveries so far, won't unload any of them until Melbourne. I'm sure Ford Aus has some crazy reason for it, but...
Just a quick prediction that those of us that aren't in Melbourne won't see our stangs until later in February. The Tamerlane docks around the 26th, but there arent any other boats coming up the coast to finish delivery until Feb 10th, so the cars will sit in Melbourne for a couple of weeks...
Join the club. Mine was built 29/10 and only just got to port on the 15/12.
There's definitely no consistency or logic between when cars are built and shipped. Some are on a boat within a couple of weeks, others a couple of months.
Despite being slightly cheaper, I wasn't planning on going with budget direct. I've been with NRMA before and trust them a lot more, so would pay the extra bit to go with them.
It really just surprised me that budget direct even offered stang insurance, given that they consistently advertise...
Just got a few quotes: (34, Rating 1, Brisbane, Agreed $52000)
AAMI: $1300
QBE: $826
NRMA: $819
Budget Direct: $643!!!! (I didnt even think they would offer Mustang insurance!) And they only wanted $508 if it was for market value.
Mine is coming through Metro as well. I'm surprised they didn't call you. Initially they told me all pre 6/3 orders were to be delivered between December and February. Then a couple of months later, Metro rang me and said that due to more orders than expected, Ford had to extend the window until...
Ive used hopshopgo over the years. Now that the Aussie dollar has dropped, its not that cheap and I would expect the shopmate prices in AUD to end up being cheaper.
For bigger or heavier items, you are far better off (if you're not in a rush to get it) using a freight forwarder that uses sea...
Who did you order yours through? And when? When I ordered mine Metro said I was the first Ecoboost order they had and the first not to be red, black or yellow.
Hi boys (and girls if there are any!).
I ordered a Deep Impact Blue Ecoboost in January 2015 from Metro Ford. Was initially told the delivery date would be January 2016, but got a call from Ford at the end of October saying it was now expected to be built at the end of November and I would get...
