Do you need a tune: No. would it add 'slightly' more power: probably. but for NA it has to be one of the worst HP per dollar upgrades. will help more if you go FI, but then it sounds like aftermarket cats like to melt with boost eventually. Probably sounds mean though.
Got some 305/45r17 555r2s on ebay for 508 bucks free shipping. I have actually had pretty good luck finding tires on ebay when others have been backordered. Can usually find really good deals too.
For the OP, if the goal is to run the PP wheels everyday and just want improved traction then...
Pulley swaps on the ESS kit are pretty easy if you wanted to go with a 120 / 125mm while on 93 for that little extra safety net. Under 200 bucks for a pulley / belt setup change (plus tuning that you will need anyway to switch to e85). Like Brevin said, I'm sure the 115mm is perfectly fine on 93...
Hopefully I dont have similar issues. still have a 110mm sitting in a box waiting for the car to come out of winter storage. better get a puller handy just in case.
mine is the same way. slide the pulley on, install the locking key, and tighten down the 14mm bolt. should go off the same way in reverse presumably. if it wasn't a press fit to go on i cant imagine it would be to go off...
got the car to the track for the last outing of the season and was able to break into the 10s finally. This was on a G2 with a 125mm and 93 octane. I was fairly pleased, as this is the most basic setup that can be configured. good baseline before a 110mm and E85 setup next season.
Could be because im still on basically a dinner plate pulley (~6-7 lbs), but my 60ft times from NA to FI were almost identical off the footbrake. I would still say you arent going to see the same shock to the tires with a centri as you would a PD unit. Im sure it comes on harder / sooner as you...
running a 275/50r17 DR on my centri car. after a small burnout I dead hook from a stop. Havent done many rolls though to provide input. Centri cars are mild from a dig since you arent in boost in the lower RPMs. basically the same as doing a dig NA
Got a chance to get to the track today with the new kit installed. Have a basically stock A10 Gen 3 with a tire, some small suspension upgrades, and the G2 kit on the dinner plate pulley (125mm) with 93 octane tune. was hoping to dip into the 10s on the most base kit but just couldnt get my 60ft...
I have no evidence to back this up, but this is the same thought process I had for the stage 2 Procharger setup. I would assume the additional stress on the crank further off the block would present a weak point (if not buying a crank support), but i'm sure the engineers who developed it know...
@Brevin_G4_SS I was unable to get the the K061033 belt (103 7/8") to fit on my 2020 GT on the 125mm pulley. had to go grab a K061037 (104 5/16"), which fits much better and seems to be working well. the kit also came with a T-connector to connect the vacuum line to the BOV, however it just...
Yeah I'm sure your are in good hands with Lund. I was just trying to see what my SCT tuning options were (which are now fairly limited) which ruled out Lund, but ended up transferring to HPtuners / RTD anyways. Aside from exceptional tuning reviews for Wengerd, Daryle's reputation for quick...
