How about when you open the door. It cracks the window, then when you close it, it rolls it back up. Can that be defeated? That's a lot of wear on the motor.

Whoa! I'm surprised at the 2006 manual. I've always done it on solid axle cars. Was not going to do it on the 15 as some have said. Of course, they have not been welding the axle tubes to the diff for several years so maybe it's risky even on solid axle cars.

My dealer was speculating that due to the changes in the 15 head, 5W-50 is no longer required, be he is checking with engineering.

Carguy, what rpm are you driving at when this happens. I have not noticed it in mine, but I keep it between 1700 and 2000 until warmed up. Are you lugging it perhaps?

So, what weight oil did they put in it? The 13 and 14 track pack cars called for 5W -50. I can not find any reference to that in my manual, nor can the dealer. Their chart doesn't say anything different for 15 regardless of PP or not. They are submitting a question to Ford Engineering.

I am getting transmission noise through my shifter in the lower gears. Sounds like an old worn out transmission, if anyone is familiar with that type of sound. Mine is only in the lower gears. I have not noticed it in 5th or 6th. Anyone else have this?
