A converter is only $1200 ish brand new. At least that's what the Circle D units cost for the 5.0 and they are developing an Ecoboost unit from what I've heard. Great investment for any auto car!
To run E85 it will need an aux fuel setup. That's my plan of attack as mentioned above, 10's should be possible with the stage 2 setup from VTT along with some suspension and bolt ons running full corn power lol. Either way I'm going to find out. I traded in my 2014 5.0 for the 2016 Ecoboost and...
Took it to the dealership and it was determined that the power steering assist control unit was faulty and causing all the other issues. Sucks that they don't have the part handy so I have to wait until Friday to pick it up.
I'm leaning towards that as well, due to the fact that the a/c isn't bowing cold either. Although the low battery warning only flashed in the beginning and now all that pops up repeatedly is steering assist failure and advancetrac service.
Only problem is I have a check light on that has been on since I installed the UPR dual valve catch can. Which I was told by UPR is normal for the Ecoboost motors with the dual valve setup and I had planned on just getting it corrected one I got it tuned. Now I'm sure they'll see the CEL and...
It's completely stock except for a UPR catch can and NGK plugs. All terminals seemed to be just fine as I haven't touched them and they were tight. Now when I start it the battery warning no longer pops up but the other mentioned warnings all do and the traction control light stays on.
So, I have less than 1,000 miles on my 2016 EB and today while driving normally down the highway I get all the aforementioned warnings pop up at once on my center display. The power steering stopped working and the first warning said "low battery, shutting off accessories" or something like...
Yeah, I have to get my MAP IC installed this weekend and then I'll just be waiting for Adam to give me the thumbs up when the 2016 support is available for my car and I'll have Tune+ as well lol. I wasn't sure if the modes adjusted anything outside of tc devices. Thanks for the info!
So, how are you guys running at the track as far as the modes and tc go? I'm assuming track mode with advance trac off using the paddle shifters, correct? Also, are you running in D or S on the shifter? And lastly, what kind of rpm's are you able to hold for the launches?
Just wondering what the best size tire would be to stick on these 19 inch wheels for now to have some fun at the strip. I'm new to IRS and this chassis so I'm not sure what will fit and what won't.
Found the issue. It seems that the connection from the cc to the driver side directly in front of the factory intake box doesn't just push back on. It was the loose connection. Got it all squared away now!
Just installed the UPR dual valve catch can and I'm getting the CEL for CCV system unplugged and noticed an audible air intake whoosh noise under acceleration. I obviously assumed something needed tightening but didn't find any loose fittings upon inspection. has anyone else ran into this problem?
